Does anyone else feel like the fighters who get Tommy Gallagher training and cornering them have a major advantage over the ones who are working with Jeremy Williams?
I have nothing against Williams, but Gallagher has been training fighters for ages and seems to be very very good, while Williams only recently retired from boxing and hasn't had any training experience outside of The Contender, and I think it shows.
Gallagher always seems to know exactly what advice to give while Williams doesn't and ends up just saying a lot of rah rah stuff. I think that they should have a second experienced trainer in the show to put the fighters on more of an equal footing.
i actually see it as the other way around. Tommy usually gives the same advice "you need to get working", "stop it! stop showboating" Jeremy Williams seems to actually give more tactical advice. both are great trainers though.
i dont think tommy gallagher is anything special, hes just on there because he represents the sterotypical boxing trainer to the average tv viewer its like hes sposed to make everyone remember "mickey" from the rocky movies
