Just watched DLH-Quartey for 1st time

I had Quartey winning the fight but he blew it in the last round. I am a biased DLH hater and have pulled against him in every fight he has been in. I liked him in the Olympic's but he left a bad impression on me with his Sugar Ray Leonard phony personality.

I scored it for Quartey, he outfought Oscar over the first 11 rounds. He was actually beating on Oscar like he had never experienced before. It was close, but I had Ike winning by a couple of points or so.

You always seem to change your opinion when someone proves you wrong.. Anyway, the last knockdown from Oscar is what sealed the victory..that was Oscars best fight.... fool! it was Oscars best gift. Oscar's gift runout when he met Papa Trinidad, he run like a little bitch.

dude, there were three knockdowns, how do you come up with a score like that? how many even rounds did you score? if it's more than zero, your card sucks. Listen, smartass. When two knockdowns happen in the same round, it's like one boxer's kd cancels the other's, so you judge the rest of the round like you usually would. There goes a 10-9 for one of the boxers. Find out about it.

I just remembered I scored the fight 115-112 for Quartey with some close rounds being close, particularly the first 4 or 5.

I scored 115-113 for Quartey. I know this has been discussed hundreds of times, but I still want to read comments about how you scored this. dude, there were three knockdowns, how do you come up with a score like that? how many even rounds did you score? if it's more than zero, your card sucks.

I think I scored the fight 115-113 for Quartey. What I don't get is one of the judges having the fight 116-112 for DLH which is just plain blind. I thought Quartey won a close but clean decision over DLH. Yeah DLH had a big 12th but I thought he was behind on the cards though. i'm with you i thought it was a close fight but even with the big 12th rd. oscar had i still had ike winning the fight, i thought he built up a good lead going into the last rd. even in the rd. that they were both dropped quartey easily won that rd.

The DLH Quartey fight was close, but Oscar pulled it out in the 12th round. Quartey is lucky the fight didn't get stopped when Oscar had him against the ropes. He was almost out on his feet, he was just throwing his hands uneffectively, and i think that is what helped him because he wasn't doing anything. This fight was not a robbery by any means. It was close, but Oscar won it in the 12th.

I've watched the fight enough times to know that De La Hoya won. It was a very close fight, but Oscar won, and the onslaught in the 12th sealed it for him. As has been mentioned, Quartey is a very under rated fighter, and if i'm honest i think De La Hoya may have underestimated him a little bit.

I remember thinking it was all up to whoever wins this round(the 12th). Oscar pulled it out in my opinion Im with you... And even if you thought Ike pulled it out like many do you still have to UNDERSTAND how the fight went to Oscar based upon the sheer dominance of the 12th. If I have a particular fighter winning a fight by a round or even 2 but my fighter gets dropped and almost finished in the final round Im not going to walk around saying my fighter got screwed or robbed or assfucked. Im gonna understand that in a razor thin fight you gotta close the show and Ike clearly failed to do so therfore in a way he got what he got.

Regardless of how you scored it, 1 point for Ike or 1 point for Oscar...regardless... We all should be able to come to the agreement that the fight was damn close and therefore on the table in the 12th and final round right? The fight was on the table and the 12th had a very clear winner-razor thin fight but you gotta give it to Oscar. Imagine the same fight taking plqace except it was Bazooka who dropped Goldie twice including a complete demolishion in the 12th...you would have every Oscar hater screamer rape, they still scream rape but imagine if the fight was swapped!

howd u get 115-113 for ike when he was down twice and oscar was done once?

I thought it was a very "lucky" decision for Oscar that night.

I'm not Oscars biggest fan but he did win that fight. No way Quartey won that fight. The 12th round Delahoya barrage was enough to convince any judge that Oscar deserved that win.
