Who do you think is going to carry the sport once all the old stars leave? Most already have left or are going soon. Tyson is gone, DLH is going soon, Barrera is not fighting past 2007, Holyfield is done(realisticly), Toney won't be much longer, Hopkins is gone, Trinidad is gone and so on.
andy lee, i like it. he's def gonna be big..
floyd mayweather, jr.
john duddy
miguel cotto
michael katsidis
manny pacquiao
peterson brothers (anthony / lamont)
jorge linares
andre berto
kermit cintron
....
Sam Peter, O Neil Bell, David Haye, Bad Chad, Lacy, Mundine, Kessler, Miranda, Pavlik and Taylor, Duddy, Cotto, Williams, Cintron, D Hopkins, Katsidis, Juan Diaz, Pacman, Soto !!!
Khan Ward Berto Dib and JCC jr will be around for ten or more years if they want!!!
Good call on Cintron.
in the next 5 years i expect to see the emergence of Andy Lee as a top name fighter
fuck, I totally forgot about Lee. Good call. He'll be a star on both sides of the Atlantic.

Argenis Mendez. Remember the name because by 2012 he'll have the industry on lock.
My only fear is that Dan Rafael is already in love with him and may attempt to claim him as his next love child. We saw how well that worked out for Joel Julio.
If Juan Diaz can survive what's in front of him in the next couple of years, he has the potential to be a major star for years to come. He has all of the right elements - fan friendly style, extremely accomodating in and out of the right, bilingual, articulate, and is finally adding power to his game.
Kelly Pavlik has the potential to be the Ray Mancini of our time. My fear with him, though, is that his style usually results in crash and burn. He'll be fun to watch, win lose or draw. I'm hoping it's far more winning than losing in years to come, starting with Taylor in September (assuming the fight doesn't get postponed , or cancelled altogether).
For different reasons, the Peterson brothers (Lamont and Anthony) will be major players wherever they decide to make a run. Lamont can box like a dream and Anthony is becoming a legit boxer-puncher before our very eyes.
And my own personal biased-ridden pick is 20-year old Ira Terry, who lives and trains about an hour or so outside of Memphis. He was a beast as a teenager in the amateurs, to where he won quite a few fights by forfeit, for the simple reason that others refused to step into the ring with him. He only lost 5 times in the ammys, one of which was a DQ for, get this, punching his opponent too hard. He's in the process of beginning to step it up as a pro, has already appeared on ESPN2 (last summer) and should secure more TV time by later this year or early 2008.
i wanna make the london 2012 but i got abit to go yet hoping to get a lot of fights in in the next season and work my way you towards to england squad and up the aba ranking but i do train 3 hours a day atm
getting selected for the olympics is so hard, even if your good enough, certain countries get in without Qualifying and britian has to compete with Europeans for the small number places really political am boxing sometimes more so the the pro ranks
good luck matey
Miguel Cotto - already at the top and will stay there for ages.
Wladimir Klitschko -ditto.
Linares - very promising
Paul Williams -promising
David Haye -promising at Cruiserweight
Alfonso Gomez -promising
wait for me to come thought in about 5 years lol:boxing:
I thought that about myself about 15 years ago but one to many beatings changed all that, my pal has just turn pro and the age of 30 so at 32 I might have a chance, lol
I do like Haye as a matter fact if he beats mormack then a fight with enzo would be something,
just pissed that were struggling for young stars, we have a few just not as many as we should
