Hmmm...I don't think I'll win my next fight, I got a good idea!!!
I'll come in 5 pounds over the limit!!!
Rosendo Alverez did the same thing to Ricardo Lopez and guess what Lopez won.
Chavez was a dirty fighter just like Castillo.:D

:(
Why not show when Laporte was foulinig too? Laporte was no saint in that fight himself. Chavez works the body, one or two are going to slip past the belt line, but Laporte did the samething.
Dude, watch the Laporte fight, he was robbed. Most of the press had it for Laporte.
I think Laporte was Puerto Rican from what I remember!
I got the fight. The fight was in New York. They booed Chavez when he was introduced and they booed him when he won. The announcer didn't think Laporte was robbed, he felt the Chavez win was justice.
Damn, LOL. Many fighters were robbed by those three clowns... :D
LMFAO...
IWATCH..you got any benitez fights you can upload on youtube?
I found the one with Palomino and Cervantes but I want to find more...
Damn, LOL. Many fighters were robbed by those three clowns... :D
Chavez beat ever puerto rican he faced, guess what so did Delahoya and Ramierez.
Everbody always hates the top dogs.
LMFAO..
He's one of these people that think Chavez actually beat Whitaker...typical Mexican...
Damn, that shit is getting old. Come up with somthing new. :bottle:
Dude, are you kidding me, I had Whitaker winning both fights, no way Rivera won those fights. The first fight was a little close, but I had Whiatker winning.
As for Rameriz, that was one of the biggest robberies of all time, I guess you haven't seen the fight.
I had Whitaker 116-112 against Delahoya, the Delahoya fight was not as bad as the Chavez or the Rameriz fights, but still Whitaker should've been awarded the win.
Yeah right, no way Delahoya lost to Whitiker. Guy was clowing and dancing, did he think he was at a night club? Whitiker got lucky he didn't get points taken away from him in his fight with Chavez. And i havn't seen the Ramierz fight.
And i just seen Rivera v. Whitiker 2 again the other week and Rivera was robbed. Rivera countered Whitiker all knight long. Whitiker was an ultimate counter puncher and he was beat at his own game. I remember their first fight clearly going to Rivera. If you got the Rivera v. Whitiker fight watch it again, either fight.

I've seen every damn fighter possible, I just think Leonard and PBF are the most skilled fighters I've ever seen, after that is Whitaker and Robinson.
The only reason I don't put Whiatker with Leonard and PBF is he didn't have much of a power.
I disaggree, Whitiker had enough power to keep you honest -as is said in boxing- he didn't invest enough to score ko's cause that wasn't his style, ask Hurtado, who was out boxing Whitiker, if Whitiker has ko power.
Will that is BS if he did, how can anyone be awarded a round without a punch, that doesn't make any sense.
When it comes to pure skills, I think PBF, Leonard and Whitaker are the best I've seen.
James Toney also had great skills, but Toney never used his legs.
BTW Whitaker has been robbed many times in his career, especially against the 3 Mexican's. Chavez, Rameriz and Delahoya.
But you fail to mention Wilfredo Rivera was robbed twice against Whitiker. But im sure you ain't ever seen Rivera v. Whitiker 1 or II. And Whitiker was already saying he lost the fight in the corner against Delahoya, no way Delahoya lost. Ramierez the 1st one all i've heard is that Whitiker refused to throw punchs and was back pedaling all night long. If Whitiker felt he was robbed against Chavez, then Whitiker should have granted Chavez the rematch he wanted with Whitiker to fight again and stop the bs of a robery.
Yeh i seen that fight on tv,round 3,he didnt throw 1 punch! he kept ducking then spinning the guy around and didnt throw 1 punch,he was sick at moving and spinning
Pernell was great,a lot of the elite boxers 2day say he's there favorite boxer
Wat fight was it?
Ive always asumed that story was bullshit.

It's not BS. If the other guy did not land a punch either, who would you give the round to?
Also, just because they're the best you've ever seen doesn't mean they're the most skilled boxers ever. I'm sure there are thousands you've never seen fight.
Here is a quote from East$ideB0xing:
Pep would make a prediction to rival any later made by Muhammed Ali; he would win a round without throwing a single punch.
Not only that, but he would tell them up-front just which round to watch for it; round number three. Bert Sugar said of the audacious feat: "Pep tipped off a few friendly sportswriters that he would not throw a punch in anger in the third round.... Pep moved; Pep switched to southpaw, mocking Graves; Pep danced; Pep weaved; Pep spun Graves around and around again; Pep gave head feints, shoulder feints, foot feints, and feint feints. But Pep never landed a punch." The crowd at ringside sat in spellbound awe as Pep put on perhaps the greatest three minute demonstration on the art of boxing ever witnessed. In just 180 seconds he joined the ranks of those who had done some legendary act to fulfill a fearless prediction; the called-shot of Babe Ruth, the "We're gonna win, I guarantee it!" bravado of Joe Namath, and "They all will fall, in the round I call" predictions of Ali.Sportswriter Don Riley, who was ringside and forewarned of Pep's plan for the third round, said, "It was an amazing display of defensive boxing skill so adroit, so cunning, so subtle that the roaring crowd did not notice Pep's tactics were completely without offense. He made Jim Corbett's agility look like a broken down locomotive. He made even Sugar Ray Robinson's fluidity look like cement hardening. Never has boxing seen such perfection!" He had fought the round without throwing a punch, but had he won it? Was his display so mesmerizing that even the keen eyed judges were beguiled? Pep knocked Graves down 9 times, ending the fight in the 8th round via TKO, but it wasn't the victory the ringside press were excited about; it was the score cards of the judges. When the cards were presented, there it was in black and white; Willie Pep had won the third round, the punchless round, on all three cards. The Will o' the Wisp had given boxing another legendary moment.
