I am so tired of these bull sh!t decisions! Toney won the fight and it's the same old sh!t over and over! Thank you crooked f@cking judges for ruining a great sport for me!
until we find that diamond in the rough, and during the time that we have to shine him up, it will be GB/DLH and PBF that will carry boxing above water so it doesnt drown.
True!
But i was mainly refering to the Heavyweights. Most normal Joes, only care for the Heavyweights cause thats what the media tells them and reports most of the time.
The p4p was made to describe SRR, but i also heard it was to gather attention to the smaller fighters. Though to be honest, I've never seen a p4p list from Robinsons era, soley that SRR is "THE" P4P FIGHTER IN ALL BOXING and is no other. OF course i may be wrong, i i've never seen a full list.
Somewhere in a gym lys a great heavyweight and he is American and when he is seen he will domintate for years and years, bringing many to take to boxing, his skill, power and speed will amaze the whole world. And once again boxing will be the sole major sport in the Country. This is no lie, this is no dream, but the truth.
The lighter weight will have even greater fighters, for they have seen the greats that came before them.
Boxing will live, today, tommorrow and forever. :boxing:

Final Thoughts...
I think the Heavyweight Era is done here in America.
It is now onto Golden Boy/DLH and Floyd Mayweather to get the casual fight fan back into the sport and save boxing.

A pussy would be someone who felt the way I do about the current state of boxing and didn’t have the balls to voice their opinion through words and actions.
So long and God bless.
What nationality are you?
How many people put money on Sam winning a decision? Hell, every poll I saw was either Toney by decision or Peter by knockout. This fight was fixed through those judges and there is no doubt in my mind. Two of the three were paid off and that’s exactly what it took for Peter to win it. 116-111 after the point deduction? Shit that’s enough for me. I’m done spending my time and money on the next coming of the WWE. I can’t stand wrestling so fans that are like me will start dying off very soon, if they haven’t already. Sorry to be so spiteful about this, but I think after all the years I have invested in boxing that I deserve the right to publicly complain. I thank this forum for giving me the right to do so.
You are doing a masterful job doing it my friend.
And I wish Don King, Bob Arum, DLH, and all other big names
WBC, IBF, WBA, WBO
COULD READ ALL THIS and try to understand what they have come to, that a well-informed, devoted hardcore boxing fan is gonna hang his gloves for good.
IT IS A SAD THOUGHT, cuz you arnt the only one, others just go out quietly.
:o
bye bye pussy!

oh no doubt i agree with you that boxing is goin in the wrong direction, that it has somewhat killed off the casual fan, and is now getting close to doin the same with the hardcore fan as well.
This crap has been happening too often, at least 1 out of 4 or 5 big cards this year.
Im just trying to understand the rationality of Toney/Peters, cuz i cant make myself believe that a few BIG GAMBLERS can buy off judges that easily.
If anything, the WBC is being bought out.

Watch how fast that changes and has changed under our very own eyes. How many friends do you have now that are casual fans? I bet not nearly as many as you did say 10-20 years ago. That is what this sport has become. Boxing is 1st rate to serious fans but not even on the radar to the casual fan. The casual fan doesn't even exist in America anymore. People with too much money has ruined that. Most Americans think boxing is fixed. Just ask them. And they're probably right. I used to hope that wasn't so, but it is.

ANY/EVERY up and coming boxer would die to get a title shot or big fight here in LA, Vegas, NY or other big cities.

no doubt, i was at the fight LIVE with Vanes, and everyone there was a Toney fan, biggggg time.
Toney has that personality man, he gets on tv alot, looks all sharp, has made a name for himself, he could sell good tickets for sure for another 3 or 4 years as a proven attraction, Peters is a gamble, and no matter how good he fights, i just dont see him being a TV guy.
I agree completely man, Toney is a very witty guy, says alot of funny stuff. Peter is like the Russian guy in Rocky IV, very serious regardless of the truth in what he says lol
I can't see fans paying to see Peter unless he KO's bigtime lol
America doesn't matter anymore in boxing. Most Americans could care less who wins and there are only a few fans left here. The market has switched to oversees where many fans are piling in to see their country get their own stamp on the game. There is nothing left in America. Not to put American fans down, because they are great fans, but there are just very few left.
You're too bumed out. Boxing is great in the southwest - I can' speak for the rest of the Country. Many fans of boxing go to local boxing shows. Delahoya last ppv did over 800 hundred thousand buys, and those ppv buys were in America.
My take on it all, they are KILLING the half-ass hope fighters of America(Rahman, Toney). And a NEW heavyweight is gonna emerge, dont know who, but the stage is set, and its time for a new Tyson, or Holyfield to step up into the spotlight and explode.

so what you are saying is now they will take Peters to NIGERIA to fight??
lol
Dont care how you put it, THE MONEY IS IN AMERICA, and ANY/EVERY up and coming boxer would die to get a title shot or big fight here in LA, Vegas, NY or other big cities.
I dont know man, by serious money you are talkin in the $millions, and I dont know who would put that kinda money on a crappy crap shoot fight like this.
I just think the judges are seein things differently, i guess im takin the glass half full approach.
I was thinking the same way you are about 6 months ago. It all went downhill fast for me though. Just tired of it. Unless they come up with a syatem that shows the scores to the fans after each round then you can count me out. There is just too many loopholes for someone to get paid off right now.
Couldn't have said it better myself. I've heard guys call Peter the new Foreman, when I myself think the old Foreman could come out of retirement and KO Peter. I do however see the possibility of them thinking that Peter will somehow make them more money than a seasoned Toney. Regardless of that thought, if they really care about the best fights, then why not the best and most dangersous fighters in the ring? Bottom line, I think Toney is not only a better fighter than Peter, but more marketable as well.
