Margarito: Floyd is scared!

Why does he say he'll fight Williams in a year from now (says after 2 fights). What's wrong with the December date? No opponent is named, Williams is a better and more marketable fight than Clottey, AND he's the mandatory. Doesn't sit right with me.

Of course Floyd is scared. LOL That really isn't up for debate. I mean, a career-high purse? And he's called Margarito "easy work." LOL Something doesn't add up, right? If he wasn't scared, then he'd be saying he wants Margarito in his next fight, to shut up the critics and it would even serve to build up the DLH fight. Beating a Mexican in a huge fight in Vegas on HBO, in a unification bout, would set the stage beautifully for the Mexican-Americans to rally behind DLH for a super mega-fight. Floyd has called Margarito "easy work" and a "nobody" and continues to insult him in the press every week (note: no insults when Margarito walked up on him in Vegas, though ;) So why wouldn't he take a career-high payday to dispose of "easy work" and make a DLH fight even bigger? Floyd is certainly scared, now some might argue that he's only "scared" of losing the DLH payday, and not physically scared of Margarito, but I think it's a combination of the two. Floyd wants nothing to do with Margarito (that much is clear) and if they both continue to win and Floyd goes after Spinks or anyone other than DLH instead, then Floyd's going to lose a lot of respect, a continuation of the respect many fans are already beginning to lose for him.

I dont' get it. How is Williams proven? Was it his fight with the unknown Martyse :confused: or was it his fight with the jr. welterweight in Mitchell :confused: Yet, im sure you belive Margarito isn't proven right? Williams will get his shot, hes the mandatory so he'll have to fight him after Clottey. One thing that is surprising is not only on this fourm but others many people belive Clottey can upset MArgarito which is good. I dont think Williams is proven at all. I said I'd much rather Margarito fight a proven guy like Zab, Callazo, Ouma, or Rivera but if he wont fight one of them then I'd much rather see a Williams fight over Clottey because Clottey has not been all that impressive. As for Margarito's fight with Williams, people get mad at me when I say this but I still stand by it. I think both guys are good fighters and I kind of dont want this fight to happened because I dont want to see either of them lose until they get in a fight with Floyd because those fights would be Super as long as they dont lose. I also said that if they did fight then I think it can be a All Time great fight even if it only lasted a couple of rounds. I said that because Williams is so unproven, I would give Margarito some credit for taking the fight and if he kills him then I dont think it was a big deal because Williams may have been garbage but if its a tough fight that goes the distance then I will give both guys alot of credit. One Margartio fan got so mad when I said that. He said "how can you not give him credit if he kills Williams". I responded by saying because I dont know if Margarito is that good or if Williams is that bad because he has never proved anything super. However, if Margarito kills one of those other guys I named then you would have to give him complete respect because you 100% know that those guys are good fighters

I dont believe Margarito about the sparring for the simple fact that he said that Williams just left because he came in too have and wasnt much use for him? How could that be true when he was fighting a huge guy in Santos? Even if Williams was a little up in weight they wouldnt have made him leave unless he was kicking Margarito's ass and there excuse was that he was too big. Still in all it doesnt mean anything because its just sparring but why cant he fight Williams now? Fight him in December. Diego, I really dont think he was talking about Williams when he said he cant remember the other guy's name. I think Margarito & Arum are being slick and just trying to fight bums. Doug Fischer from maxboxing saw three of they're last sparring sessions and said that it's true that Williams landed a body punch that had Margarito gasping for air, but also mentioned that it happended in the last minute when they have already went at it for many rounds, and Margaritos trainer said it was already enough so he stopped it. Doug Fischer also said that it's funny how Williams only wants to mention parts of the sparring session to the public where he got to Margarito but never about how Margarito knocked his ass down, not a slip or flash knockdown, but a real knockdown were Williams was flat on his back, and don't they use head gear? Imagine what Margarito would do to him if he wasen't wearing it.

Margarito is as phony as they come. First he claimed he didn't remember Paul Williams, now he's just saying Williams never dropped him. I absolutely believe Williams on this one considering Margarito and his followers have a habit of lying.

I haven’t signed anything as of yet. They also have another fighter on the list as of right now, but for the life of me I cannot remember his name. More than likely it will be Clottey. I wonder who the other guy is.
