Lets talk Forrest-Quartey

i think forrest is damaged goods. quartey has just been on a long layoff, forrest has had serious heavy surgery on his jabbing arm. but it could go either way. i just think quartey has more to offer than forrest does.

if mayorga can land his right hand and KO you when you re in youre prime , quartey is gonna land a lot and hurt you big time now that youre over the hill . IKE by late TKO

Forrest might be bigger/stronger, but there is no doubt that Ike has looked better in his two fights back than Forrest has. Ike looked really good on the Taylor-Hopkins 2 undercard. Forrest looked so so against the guy he stopped in the last round on best damn fightnight (something Garcia??)

Yeah I think the winner gets Spinks next too, although I think Spinks has to fight a mandatory against Teddy Reid first. This is the reason no one should take the belts seriously. What a crock of shit. Forrest will win. He's the fresher fighter, has a bit more power, and most of all he has a better defense than Quartey does. This fight will come down to who is less hittable. Forrest wins by 9th round TKO.

Quartey is the safe pick. That's for sure. I'm not one to always pick the safe guys. I take your guys' points about Ike's comeback and how he has been alot smarter with it and fought the better competition but I think Forrest may be a little fresher. The only problem is, like was shown in the Verno Phillips fight, Ike can be in complete control of a fight and suddenly go down. And Vernon has proved that he has some pop in the right hand and he throws it with good speed, and often. ike will win a couple of rounds with the jab when forrest is inactive forrest's right may ike but ike will finish, yet lose a ud to forrest

I'm pretty excited for this one..i see forrest coming out on top in a less than exciting fight..i see both guys being very cautious, i don't see them going all out. i see a lot of jabbing and circling but i think forrest will be better rested and his size will bother quartey who's best days are well behind him. 116-112 Forrest UD

I am taking Ike for these reasons: -He has been fought more often in the past couple of years against MUCH better competition. Phillips and Bojorquez are infinitely better than the two Forrest fought. -He has improved with his performances in each of his fights back. He was dropped by Phillips and showed a lot of ring rust, but he still pulled it out. In his next fight (against a more straight ahead fighter) he showed better reflexes and ring awareness. His jab looked crisp and he was letting the right hand go more often and more accurately. He wasn't catching so many left hooks either (a punch he is/was susceptible to). -Ike hasn't been injured like Forrest has. Forrest sustained an injury that could have killed his career...I think it hampers him more than Ike's layoff does Ike. -Forrest will not be stronger than his opponent. Ike is naturally very strong and will be able to hold his own against his taller opponent. Ike by decision.

i'm taking my boy bazooka by ko. if he uses that powerful jab and throws the right more he should take forrest out.

This is only scheduled for 10 rounds given it's a non-title fight, correct? If it's 12 I lean towards IKE by late round TKO, if not, Forrest via UD.
