Watch Baldomir get whupped easily.

Gatti has been stopped everytime he steps his limited self up against the best fighters. Even the lesser champs like Manfreddy and now Baldy stoppes him. He just gets hurt way too easily. I will give him credit for having amazing ability to recover but he gets hurt too easily in the first place. Now even a guy with 8 kos in 50 fights can easily hurt him. lol.

I just wanted to clear something up and ask why everyone keeps saying Baldomir beat Judah by split decision? It was a unanimous decision.

First off, Judah looked great early on against Baldomir as well, and if I recall he almost had him out of there in round 2 or 3 (haven't seen the fight since it aired live). Judah is a front runner, like Floyd said, and looked good early on against both of them. By round 6 of the Floyd fight, Zab was being completely embarrassed. By round 6 of the Baldomir fight, people were thinking, "wow, it looks like this is a surprisingly close fight," not "wow this is getting real ugly real fast." Finally, how is the fact that you think Floyd would have TKO'd Zab if he didn't get hit low besides the point? He was more masterful than baldomir by far, and against a more game opponent.

Gatti is a bum that politics and pigmentation helped him become a champion. I am glad he got destroyed this has ruined his undeserved legacy. :boxing: I wouldn't say he got destroyed, he just definitely isn't a WW, but Baldomir for the bigger guy took a while to take care of Gatti. I think the age of Gatti has come to an end, but Baldomir wasn't that impressive when Gatti decided to box.

i hate people that do this shit. I remember when taylor beat hopkins and i think it was tha greatest but i am not sure, that said that if he was so good why didnt he move up to heavyweight and win. Just to put Baldy's 14 KOs in perspective. In '98 his record was 24-9-4 (4KO). Since then he has done 19-0-2 (9KO) in his last 21 fights. The combined record of his last 21 opponents is 566-120-15 (The ratio would have been better, but one dude was 40-41-2).

Gatti has been an honest brave fighter his whole career, whatever he lacked in talent he more than made up for with heart and determination. At the end of the day boxing is a sport but its also entertainment and Gatti has always entertained, I would sooner watch the likes of a Gatti than say a more cautious fighter like say Hopkins, Gatti's style always dictated that one day the wheels would come off and they did last night, Baldomir is a good fighter and naturally larger and it was just one fight too many for Arturo Gatti. Time for him to retire with his head held high!

The minute they put him in against someone halfway decent. Gatti is totally mediocre and should be ranked #30 in the world and not be getting a title shot. I think Baldomir does deserve to be Champ, he has skill, but a well-rounded boxer would give him alot of trouble. His punches are very percise, but slow even gatti could have beat him if he had been boxing & staying on his toes, instead of going toe 2 toe with very little head movement. Oh yeah, & why the fuck was Gatti bouncing his ass of the bottom rope, did that make sense to anyone :confused:

He may not hit as hard as margarito but he is better technically. I alos wonder how many of his losses were robberies. all but one went the distance. i not a fan of individuals but exellence. baldamir is an exellent all round fighter

I dont think Gatti is mediocre as you and a few others on the site are claiming. He just isnt a welterweight, imo. I'll accept that Gatti is not one of the elite fighters in the game, but he is a notch or two below the elite. Hey, and we have to give Baldomir credit...seems like the Judah win wasnt as much of a fluke as most of us thought it was. Not to mention that Baldomir is 19-0-2 since his last loss and that was in 98. Look at his opponents records during that time period. I'm not a Baldomir nuthugger...in fact, I'd probably be considered more of a Gatti nuthugger than anyone else; but we have to be a little objective here.
