I think that if Toney COULD go to cruiser he'd be a much better fighter, but I'd be ecstatic if he came in under 225 lol

James Toney will be in a good shape he just need some motivation. For example i think the Peter clash he will come in a better shape. Trust me Toney just need some good quaility oppenet like Bell and Mormexk and another opponent that trash talk

He's got a LOT of work to do to go down to cruiserweight.

It's too late for Toney to go back down to crusierweight but it would have been a smart move on his part to stay there after beating Jirov.For those who think that the cw division isn't exciting haven't been paying attention.With great fights like Mormeck-Braithwaite, Bell-Mormeck, and Jones-Braithwaite happening lately what more could a fight fan ask for.This division should only get better.

With his height and reach, he's better suited to cruiserweight, but at this point its never going to happen.

why should he go down, it's not like he is doing bad in the HW's he is still undefeated, and has beaten 2 HW champions.

I think it will be more exciting that way and bring Tarver. fill that wieghtclass with talents we already got three bring more to the division. and he would be more fight to fight Bell,Mormeck and Byrd Toney is fat and undisciplined. He wont be doing anything except getting fatter each fight.

i think toney byrd at cruiser would bring TONS of money and fan fair ... a solid weight they both would have some pop at .. they both would be in top notch shape toney at cruiser the night he fought jirov was in maad shape he looked superb ... i think if you take him from that night and put him in with holyfield from the night he fought qwai the second time it'd be one of the all time greatest fights ever ..

i would love watching that, but theres no money in the cruiser so these guys would not do it no matter how great the potential of the outcome could be.

I wouldn't mind seeing Toney kick Tarver's ass, no matter what weight class. I wish he could've whipped Byrd's ass too but Drago beat him to it.
