WHAT IF... Juan manuel marquez vs Diego Corrales at 130

yea marquez gots power, if casa could hurt chico, im pretty sure marquez can. i dont think he could knock chico out, but floor him once or twice. i dont think chico would hit marquez cleanly enough to knock him out, therefore marquez outboxes him. J.M.Marquez moves well, but he isn't really your typical slick boxer who runs around. he's a counterpuncher, he tends to stand in front of his opponents. This style is just perfect for Chico.

Didn't he (Chico) got KDd from counters? I'd say JMM is the BEST counterpuncher in the game today, he's got power also, but not on the level of Castillo. JMM with his limited power, can counter Chico, but he's simply not strong enough to stop Chico nor big enough to survive his punches. JMM's chin IMO won't stand-up to a Chico assault, that's the bottomline.

When I said that, I didnt want anyone to get confused. I didnt mean that Freitas was a good boxer because he clearly isnt but my point is that in that fight he was moving all over the place. Thats why he tired himself out. None of those other 3 guys fight like that at all. They wouldnt be doing non stop movment on the borderline of running. Everyone loves Diaz and I agree that he's a beast but unless your a flat out monster like Castillo then your not going to go toe to toe with this guy. Chico has fought plenty of guys on Diaz level and even higher but Diaz has never been in the ring with anything close to Chico's level. Chico will hurt him bad because Diaz will be right in front of him the whole fight. Freitas isnt really that kind of fighter either,and he did well with it until he got tired.Im SURE diaz could make some adjustments.

Pac & Diaz are both guys who come forward and even if they changed it still wouldnt work because they will want to brawl sooner or later and they would get dropped. Marquez can box but he does it in a methodical kind of way and not with speed, so Chico would catch him and finish him i believe he will destroy pac, and diaz, close one. chico, would try to brawl since marquez is alot smaller, thats wear marquez counters. chico throws alot of big shots, and is open alot. plus chicos got a not so good chin, so if marquez counters him flush, corrales will go down. i think marquez outboxes him...

Dude you were saying "when Chico was at 130" then later on you said "Chico would most likely be drained at this weight", how could that happen? :p i know, when he was fighting at 130 he was drained...

marquez aint a slugger really, he'll go and stick to his gameplan. hes a very diciplined fighter, he'll counter punch CHICO. i say, marquez wins. he could catch corrales and floor him, but if cHICO catches marquez, he'll more then likely finish him.

lets say, when Chico was at 130, and Marquez moved up to meet him. wat do yall think happens? is marquez slick enogh to outbox CHICO and stay away from his power, or will Diego take his head off... u think marquez would be able to hurt him? and CHICO would most likely be drained at this weight... this fight is a toss up really. Both guys can somewhat crack although Corrales is the heavier hitter. Both guys can get floored but when it comes down to fight I think Corrales may pull it off. If JMM chooses to box and counter he could win. If Corrales closes the distance and makes it a fight he could win too.

Marquez would be outboxing him, but Corrales floors him and comes close to knocking him out, making it a close, tough decision. I don't see Corrales ko'ing Marquez either. Marquez wouldn't quite as Freitas did, but like Freitas Marquez would outbox Corrales badly. Would be very interesting if at all Corrales can catch Marquez. Its a style toss up on who can win. What is interesting is that Corrales being a boxer, imo didn't box Corrales as cleanly as Freitas outboxed Corrales.
