pac/barerra, pac was not an elite at the time
thats just the ones that come redily to mind what others are out there.
how was that a dominent performance ali was taking a beating untill forman gassed and then forman got ko'd soon after.
I was a great way to win the fight but not dominate.
That's news to me. Ali took a beating, but he dominated the fight. Nonetheless, I wouldn't call it one.
Foreman-Frazier is one.
Tyson-Spinks
Ali-Liston
Hearns-Duran
There are heaps... some good ones mentioned in the thread, so i wont bother mentioning more.
Forrest-Mosley I
Wright-Trinidad
Castillo-Corrales II
Foreman-Frazier I
Hopkins-Trinidad
Wright-Mosley I
Mayweather-Corrales
Hopkins-Tarver
Jones-Toney
a valid point I guess I saw the fight a little diffent than you did.
thats not to say I am wrong in my assesment but holy I think pulled out the win in strong fashion thats also considering he stopped tyson
Gotta disagree with holy/tyson.... tyson got outboxed in many of the rounds yes, but Tyson did win some rounds and he wasnt taking a real beating he was only being outboxed. He did get beat pretty hard at the end but remember holyfield was hurt in the fight also. If u get hurt at some point then u didnt dominate the fight.a valid point I guess I saw the fight a little diffent than you did.
If where talking Elite on Elite Foremans Destrucation off Frazier has got to be up their the way Foreman destoryd a awesome heavyweight like Frazier was Brutial and made Foreman the most feared heavyweight at the time and one off the most feard heavyweights off all time,
Pac vs Barrera/Morales
Sweet Pea vs Azumah Nelson/Chavez/Jose Luis Ramirez ;)
Mayweather vs Corrales
Roy Jones vs James Toney
Hopkins vs Trinidad/Tarver and more..
nice catch they just kinda stuck in my mind because the endings were so convincing but hay both only lasted two and both ko's were emphaticly crushing so ahhhh respecatable point but really ahhh the Ko's were brutal empaticly so dominiatingly so and very early in the fight. Both winner lost the first round but ko'd rheir match up in the second in brutal fashion. So the fighter that won 50% of the rounds and skull fuck his opponent like he was an amature. You decide for yourself. At least I think judah won the first. I know jones did.
there was nothing dominant about judah vs KT it was one punch

duran vs palimino
hopkins vs tarver
hagler vs hearns
calzache vs lacy
duran vs palimino is the only one that has not been repeated on this thread. Can you give sone insite on the fight that made it sominent agienst a fighter I can't recall. That was befor my time and most likely have eber seen it or that it took place I realy would like to hear abput it as this is a consotium thread to pring these fights to light
The 2 most perfect examples of an elite vs elite beat down are Mayweather vs Corrales and Barrera vs Hamed.
I would have to questionaly agree to that but who knows maybe someone is going to post and we will say now thats tha mama jama. I will carfully agree except I woulf have to add foreman frazeir. and pac barerra. even tought pac was not elite before the fight he proved and continues to do so the second that fight was stopped.
Whitaker/Chavez.
Chavez was never really in the fight...I can't see how he won any more than 3 rounds.
sorry missed that I saw that fight on classic a while ago and it did look like taylor carried the fight in convinceing fashion but I can't recall it that much except the ending with 2 seconds left and everyone was stunded and then beside themselves like what the fuck just happened. And then all the contro for all time.
