Taylors jab better than Sturms? Maybe on planet X where pigs can fly. I think it's safe to say that Taylors jab is only good against mediocre level fighters.

Good call about Miranda

Sturm is an above average fighter, but he lacks world class skills. Good boxing skills like his will make him a top contender, and even allow him good showings against top competition but eventually you need some KO power to remain champ. He does overuse the jab, but I can't really blame him because its the easiest way for him to control a fight. My main problems with him are that he doesn't put punches together enough, and he doesn't fight the top US competition. If he didn't want to face Taylor fine, but he never faced Hopkins, hasn't faced Wright. This next fight against Miranda should be interesting, but I think Sturm can win by playing his game and simply not getting KTFO. One thing he will never be is exciting. Sturm is not fighting Miranda, Abraham is... Did anyone notice that Randy Griffin beat the shit out of Masoe alot more impressively than Sturm did???? I saw both fights, and Griffin looked much much better than Sturm.

i think if the guy put more combo's together he would have more ko's on his record. he's just to content to use the jab to win the fight instead of setting his combo's up with it.
