Juan Urango vs Demetrius Hopkins

when did he discourge him? never Urango was going agter him all night bullshit, he definately discouraged him. as the fight when on urango completely gave up on trying to throw punches on the inside, he also stopped committing power like he was doing in the early rounds, he was getting pot shotted every time he loaded up and he quit doing it cause he was DISCOURAGED. i honestly dont think urango landed a single quality head shot in the entire fight. there is no way you can say a guy who had absolutely no success doing what he does best wasnt discouraged.

D. Hopkins' ring generalship is far better than Urango's. i'm a fan of both, but Urango is too predictable in how he is going to fight. a guy with Hopkins style is going to circle and keep it an outside fight. and after Urango's last fight and the way ESPN broke down the fight, Urango isn't going to get any credit for coming forward and not being effective, the last fight was a gift. like i said, i'm a fan of both but Hopkins is the better boxer and technician inside the ring. a long time ago about a year and some change there was a thread about up and comers in the sport and i had predicted that Urango was going to champ some day, and he did, only thing is, i thought that he'd get the belt a different way than he did.ooh well, a win is a win. but back to the fact of the matter, D.Hopkins beats Urango is an exciting fight using his jab, good lateral movement, a solid left hook, and a better fight plan. D Hop is going to win by a late KO or UD. I seen his last fight and he made many mistakes and not any kind of mistake but the mistake that could get you KOed. He is very vurnable to uppercuts and his agression is not very effective like Hattons.

Hopkins UD. Also, i see why Bernard, who was Ben Rabah's promoter isn't doing s#%t about him being robbed....he wants to get his nephew a fight. I guess blood is thicker than water. That's f%#ked up man.

More often than not, good boxers beat good sluggers. That is why I would take young Hopkins in this matchup. While I see the physical potiential in Urango, I believe his 'tyson' style is too one-dimensional for a lower weight fighter. This past fight wasn't the first time he got exposed, he squeeked out a draw a few fights prior. On the other side, young Hopkins has looked more and more impressive with each passing bout. That last KO he had was one of the best of the year!

I'll go with Urango by late stoppage.I can see Hopkins outboxing him for a while,but eventually getting caught before the twelve rounds are up.

Bernard Hopkins has said he is interested in making this match, how do you guys think it would go. Lets not make it into a Urango dont deserve the title or robbery thread, stick to the topic please. How do you guys think this match would play out. Im not sold on Hopkins at all and im a big fan of Urango so Id go with Urango by KO. Urango will chop him down. Hopkins would probably pitch a near shut out.I really like Urango too but he can clearly be out-boxed by a guy with good skill.I bet on Urango and was cheering for him but feel he lost to Ben-Rabah.

Urango is a poor-man's version of Ricky Hatton. All he knows how to do is plow forward and hope for a KO. Hopkins is too smart and has too good of a jab to lose to Urango. He will make Juan look like an amateur.

Urango is garbage....I still don't have a feel for how good Hopkins is or is not. I think he's a good fighter, but not great. Hopkinns fights like his uncle but its yet to be determined if he can fight like that against as good of fighters as Bernard did and i doubt it. I really dont think Demetrius is that good and I think Urango could take him. Either way I think this would be a good fight for an ESPN PPV maybe with a stacked card.
