Just thought I'd give some of you fans to talk about and the haters to say "Boxrec lists are garbage" :D
Boxrec has terrible listings...
I love the fact that it has the history of every fighter in the game...
But their Pound-for-Pound lists and ranking per weight are horrible...
I dont even pay them any mind...

My Tentative AT Lt Hvy List
1. Archie Moore
2. Bob Foster
3. Michael Spinks
4. Ezzard Charles
5. Billy Conn
6. Joey Maxim
7. Sam Langford
8. Roy Jones Jr.
9. Jack O'Brien
10. Gene Tunney
good list but i've always heard ezzard charles to be the best, i heard the man was an awsome light heavyweight highly skilled. but then again i havn'e seen them fight much, but top three i would think from what i've heard and read in no order, charles, moore, conn or foster.
Jose Luis Castillo is #7 at Light Welterweight, and he hasnt even fought there.
Yeah, they really embarrass themselves on a daily basis.
Its quite pathetic, actully.
My understanding is that BoxRec generates its ratings via a computer program. Essentially, this is done to avoid subjectivity, it was claimed.
Well and good. But Hopkins has fought only twice as a LightHeavy: his pro debut which he lost by MD (from which he earned the whooping sum of US$350.00) and against Tarver. That's 50%. What mathematics in the world grants such a lofty rating to a 50% fighter--All-Time or at anytime?
Moreover, if two or three fight records must be factored into the reckoning, Hopkins' two-fight LightHeavy record should be stacked up against fighters who fought two, three or four times and won all. There are quite a number of them. If such is done, BoxRec's logic dictates that they should be ranked higher than Hopkins and most of everyone else on that all-time list, thus relegating Charles, Moore, Conn, Foster, and company near the tail-end of the list, or, totally bumped out. Spinks won all his fights at LightHeavy so he should be in there somewhere, slugging it out with those unknowns for the top spot. Unless of course BoxRec's math could somehow find some ways to take Spinks out of there as well.
If it is argued that Hopkins won a world title fight while the others who won all their respective few outings didn't, then the question must be asked: what is Spinks with all those sterling title defenses doing not being ranked stratospherically?
I don't get it. But then, I've never really been good in math.
Them rankings are all over the place anyway u seen the super-middlewieght ratings
Beyer 13th best super-middleweight ever
Roy jones ant even in the top 10 lol

 Number 2 all time light heavyweight champion...based on one win at 175?
I don't need to say boxrec's ratings are garbage....that speaks for itself.
Guess they never heard of Bob Foster or Michael Spinks or Archie Moore or Joey Maxim....who are those guys anyay?
archie moore got #1...
Why is he on the lightheavyweight list? He's only fought 2 fights at the weight. I'd like to see where he is on a middleweight list.
prolly around 16 or 17 all time. id have him up higher but theyd prolly put him around there...
Trinidad is still ranked at Welterweight.
You're right!
I guess "They" haven't moved him up...
Even though it's a computer generated formula to calculate the rankings, I do believe it requires some human interaction to move fighters through all the weight classes and post upcoming fights and results...
box rec is just well box rec I honestly think they have wwe people running that site because half the people they rank shouldnt even be on the list.
They (WWE people) don't rank anyone.... Boxrec runs on a computer generated formula (script)
Why is he on the lightheavyweight list? He's only fought 2 fights at the weight. I'd like to see where he is on a middleweight list.
This is the last fight he had and the division where he retired...
The points are accumulated throughout his career.
Morrer retired at HW..
