why are so many people picking peter? when has he show a great chin. no one stands toe 2 toe with him. Id go with brewster, he has no defense and never goes down
Rahman power is overrated  He's the only man to had Tua in trouble in the second fight, Tua went down after the bell. 1 punch KO of Lewis, which a guy like Vitali couldn't even put Lewis down with 10 straight punches. It was after the bell, and Tua wasn't really hurt. Tua was also past his prime by that stage. And We all know Lewis didn't take the first Rahman fight seriously in terms of preperation and during the fight itself.
I picked Peter, because I never McCall in a fight. Can someone give an example of how good Oliver's chin is?
He took Lewis uppercuts without even blinking.
As for Briggs, please do not forget that he is asthmatic - when you are sick your chin is not as good as it is when you are 100% healthy. Watch the Lennox Lewis fight, he goes down but his chin is good.
I have noticed that VALUEV is on the list.
Has he met any competition that cracked and tested his chin? :)
You'd think a guy with a head that big has some pretty thick bones, so I'd say he prolly can take a punch.
When you think about it, having a granite chin is not all that great as far as life span and health goes.
Some fighters use their chins as defence and get hit big, now getting rocked all your career with those bombs for 12 rounds cant be good for your head :D
peter - he stayed on his feet and ate alot of shots courtesy of wlad
ok i will get eaten up for this but i think kali meehan has a good chin
look at the shots he took from brewster and then dished out in return
moreover, look at the shots he took from rahman
admittedly i've only seen him in a handful of fights but he still took alot of punishment
meehan was taken out by one punch in the 1st round by danny williams and rahman's power is overrated based on the lewis fight. meehan no way
As long as McCall is active, he's up there; but Sam Peter's got to have a pretty stout set of whiskers as well. Wlad should have decapitated him with some of the shots he landed.
well,,,,I voted for peter and think he does have a very good chin but wlad is the only puncher he faced and wlad didnt load up on anything he just boxed and punched to the target not through it. he was too afraid of getting countered,,so I think peter's chin is still somewhat untested but it does appear to be one of the best if not the best in the division based on his build and the wlad fight

I would say Liakhovich now...look at the shots he took from brewster
no way. he was down and in serious trouble and hes been stopped by mo harris. not saying he has a bad chin,,,but far from great
He is not up there, but he can take a punch.
I guess that makes little darrol wilson a big puncher then. briggs chin isnt silly puddy,,,but its far from good
He beat the count against Harris and should have been allowed to continue IMHO. In with most refs, the fight would have continued as he beat the count easily and wasn't wobbling or swaying. Being able to come back like he did after being hurt several times by Brewster was very impressive.
He was rocked by punches from Mo Harris that looked huge. In reality and if you've seen Mo Harris fight on occasion, you'd know he was just going about the motions throwing combinations which he is capable of. If you let your hands go against Liakahovic, you can hurt him and put him in survival mode. Sure he survives, and sure he has heart.....but chin? How in the hell does he get put in survival mode so much, if his chin is Iron?

Harris is featherfisted man.
Even at heavyweight he can't crack an egg. That's whats shocking. He's a slick, move first boxer that never was a puncher. Medicated or not, the punches were what made Liakahovic fall to the canvas, and he was in a shell hurt on the ropes when he was getting rocked.
Featherfisted??
C'mon, he's not the biggest puncher out there I'll admit; but he's got some pop in that right.
I voted Peter. No other HW could have taken those shots for 12 rounds and been standing, not Lyakhvich, not Brewster, none of them.
As for Toney, you guys are confusing his defense with his chin. He's picked the right opponents at HW and hasn't taken any really huge, clean shots. His chin is just ok. Put him in with Wlad and it'll break down, I assure you.
Sergei has a good chin, too. He beat the count against Harris and should have been allowed to continue IMHO. In with most refs, the fight would have continued as he beat the count easily and wasn't wobbling or swaying. Being able to come back like he did after being hurt several times by Brewster was very impressive.
McCall has a legendary chin, but is he even active anymore?
in his first and only real test, he was dropped like a big dog....
MchCall has an all time great chin. But i dont know if he can still take a punch as good as in his prime. Age will get to your chin. Look at Holyfield.
