Granted Hatton's last performance was lack luster, I still feel this fight is the most accurate resemblence of what the fight would look like.
It'd be one hell of a fight. That will probably end in the same way.
Also shows how versatile Floyd is... look at how well he fights on the inside. And has extraordinary defense on the inside. Most of those body shots by Chavez were hitting elbow.
Chavez also had to pay a huge, huge price getting on the inside of Mayweather, and had to walk through some hard clean combos, just like Hatton will have to do. The difference is, Chavez doesn't swell or cut nearly as easily as Hatton.
Chavez chin is 10 times better then Hatton. The Hatton fight will be stopped by 6th round. Chavez chin is even better then Castillo.
How can you say that about a guy that's only ever been down once, to a freak knockdown, took Kostya Tszyu's best punches compared with someone that got floored three times against Morales at SUPER FEATHER!?
I think PBF would beat Hatton but I think it would be on points and a great fight.
I've seen alot of his fights. I think Hatton's power is very overrated, just like M:D P4P Chavez hits harder.
Hattons power is UNDERRATED in the states, thats a fact. Hattons body shots are more powerful that anybodys at 140. And doesnt have 1 punch KO power? huh? He definetly does.
And hatton may not have the chavez chin, but he has a GREAT chin. He takes punches extremely well and recovers incredibly fast.
And i agree with another guy on this thread. hatton showed off his horrible defense, and floyd would definetly connect on this. But the thing hatton did bad was not holding his hands up, a thing that can easily be corrected.
And i really dont think Mayweather is all that hot on the inside. The only reason he got off good shots, is because of his awsome defense. He blocked Chavez'z double left hook, and then when Chavez would lean in for the clinch, mayweather would catch him with an uppercut. All mayweather did was get down chavez's pattern and connected on it very well. Hattons head movement is to good for Mayweather to truly connect on this.

This statment seems a little rash because Hatton has'nt been really phisically, visibly hurt as such!!! But you may be right and it might end the same way.... But as I see it ... Hattons a little bigger, and a little better!!! Thats how I see it anyway!! :boxing: :boxing:

I disagree. Erik Morales dropped Chavez twice at 130lbs. Morales is not known for having any power at 130.
Chavez doesn't have a 1 punch KO power, but neither does Hatton. But that doesn't mean he doesn't hit hard.
When he fought Mayweather he was something like 36-1 with 25 KO's. I'm sorry but you don't have 25 KO's on your belt in 36 wins if you're feather fisted.
Chavez doesn't have power? Tell Leavander Johnson that... oh wait.
gunstar and deliveryman, it would seem to me that you two havn't seen many of chavez fights. chavez is a good fighter but he has never been a big puncher, he is relentless and applies great pressure and throws lots of punchs.
Also Chavez has better defense than Hatton. But more importantly, this just shows how will Floyd can fight on the inside as well. So even when Hatton comes throw the combos that will undoubtedly land flush on his chin, he still has to deal with a very good inside fighter.
Actually lederman had Floyd winning the fight by 2 rounds, before the stoppage.
And yes, I already stated in my original post that it'd be a tough fight for Floyd.
Chavez is just as strong at 130 (porportionally to the weight) than Hatton is at 147. Chavez also moves better than Hatton.
i don't know if i want to debate this, but i will say hatton is stronger then chavez and hits harder
i belive leddermen actually had chavez leading in the fight before the stoppage and chavez put up a great fight
and hatton is stronger, hits harder and has more speed in leg movement, floyd didn't like to take body punchs from castillo and im sure floyd wont like taking shots from hatton
if you belive the fight will end up like the chavez fight then mayweather is in for a very tough fight

Ledderman doesn't know how to score a fight, he score the last 2 rounds tonight for Barrera, which Rocky clearly won.
well i can't argue with you about tonights scorring, juarez made barrera look old
how is a 135 lber in chavez any benchmark on the multi-faceted pressure that hatton brings.
Both have similar styles. Chavez pressured PBF relentlessly, by just charging forward with his head down leading off of hooks. Exactly what Hatton does. Also both fighters have good chins.
