Wow i posted this yesterday and it was like 70/30 for Taylor, i like that it evened out cause it will be a good fight, but norbak is right, Taylor is gonna have to be very active, you cant wait for a clean opening on Wright, you'll be waiting and getting pounded by hard straights all night. Wright's last fight against S Solimon was kind of tough cause he was throwing punches from ridiculous angels, in the end the guy throw over 1,000 punches(if i remember correctly) and Wright still won. lmfao, yeah. That pretty much sums it up.....the only way to beat Wright is to use a steady power attack on the inside. Because you can't try and overwhelm him, and you can't try and pick your shots....it' doesn't work. J.C. Vasquez and Nando(Even though he robbed Wright) kind of layed a blueprint. for taylor to win, he needs to have a punching output that will get him ko'd, look at the first fight with hopkins. If he throws less winky will block and counter all night, so I voted for winky.

Winky in a close fight I think that he'll be active and use his jab to keep Taylor off of him. He's the more experienced fighter and I think that will be enough to pull out a close decision on the cards.

Winky 8-4 Taylor will win 4 rounds on agression alone. Winky will pick him apart. Jermain holds his gloves chest level for godsake, WInky gonna have a jab fest. ALL Taylors power shots are the sloppiest crap i ever seen, especially his overhand right. He has NO defense period. How is he gonna hit Winky? He it Hopkins flush like 3-4 times in 24 rounds lol. And he isnt even fast or have accuracy. You clowns picking Taylor or morons WINKY UD, even Stewart said he cant help him

It will be unusual to see Winky in there with someone bigger than him. People expected Trinidad to be the bigger, stronger guy but he looked a little frail compared to a strong, sturdy Winky. If Taylor can utilize this seemingly decent size and strength advantage and THROW punches, he can land and maybe hurt Winky. I don't see Taylor being able to consistently do this, I think he be reluctant to punch too much, fearing counters (BHop made him gun shy, Winky can too), and Winky will pepper him with the jab all night. The way to get to Winky is constant pressure, and you can't pressure someone against whom you cannot get inside on, and when that jab is working no on can get in on Winky. I'm not breaking any news here, but if Taylor cannot take advantage of a guy who only wants to throw 4-5 meaningful punches a round, I can't see him getting the better of a guy who can jab, defend and counter like Winky. Wright does all that at this stage as good or better than Hopkins. Hopkins may have a tad more power, but you don't have to KO a guy you are shutting out on the scorecards. Winky SD12 Taylor, with one scorecard giving Taylor the fight based on undisiplined ineffective aggressiveness (sound familiar?). Hopkins should still be middleweight champ.

I think i want to take winky in this one. he is on a role. people are talking about a possible weak chin on winky but you have to look at taylor. the first fight with Bhop he almost got KOed. winky has some punching power to and if he conditions himself properly he can only get stronger. but it is going to be a great fight for boxing though. im taking winky by UD. no KO here. it is going to be a good ole 12 round fight.

Winky is fighting a guy who is bigger and stronger then he is. He is also fighting a guy who is a more natural middleweight than he is. Those are things he can overcome. What he cant overcome is the fact that for the first time in his life, hes facing a guy with a better jab then he does. That, combined with the other attributes that Taylor has will result in a decision loss for Winky IMO. If Taylor hits him with some good shots, his chin will be tested for the first time in his middleweight career. finally i aggree with you, GREAT POST!
