Oscar De La Hoya vs. Ricardo Mayorga Fight Predictions

Ok I got De La Hoya winning this fight by knockout in the later rounds... or a possible unanimous decision. Why? Well hopefully I could make believers out of you guys. Why exactly do alot of people think De La Hoya sucks? He got knocked out by Hopkins and he should have lost to Felix Sturm? I see it differently. Oscar started off as a Super Featherweight/Jr. Lightweight. So that means he moved up about 5 weight classes and his first fight was against someone undefeated. In addition to that, he was making the middleweight weight making it harder to stay in shape. Bernard Hopkins...he was the king of the middleweights...that is his natural weight very comfortable for him to fight...his backyard and that made fighting Oscar a little easier. I believe that Oscar threw himself down and could have gotten up but didn't. He gave Oscar a "Liver Punch" which takes the air and energy out of a fighter instantly. Oscar was screaming and hitting the floor when he went down...explain that? So what happens when Oscar goes down to a more comfortable weight to fight Ricardo Mayorga ? Mayorga was only soft in the Tito fight usually he's in good shape. Oscar was soft in sturm fight so that cancels out. Mayorga wasnt KO'd in tito fight ref stopped the fight as soon as he went down. He's stamina has never been in question except for tito and he can go 12 rounds. U Gotta have some STAMINA to stay up from a TITO HOOK :D :boxing:

Is that "mariconcita" crap really necessary? This kind of stuff is what turns a lot of people off to boxing.... Its the nature of the beast, its not about making R&B cds its about getting people hyped to buy tickets and buy the fight. He is who he is, Mayo isn't a bisnessman, hes not a gentleman, hes a brawler from Nicaragua who thinks DLH is a pussy because he takes dives (Hopkins) and gets on his bike (Tito) when it gets tough. In order for DLH to go to the body, he has to plant his feet and throw combos, which means he will be with in punching range and his head will be exposed. Agree with most people that DLH has what it takes to win, but thats a younger DLH he was a great champ and will be a great promoter, but I think theres a huge question mark atop his head since his last few fights have been anything but spectacular, Mosley, Strum, Hopkins. Mayorga by UD with several Knock Downs, and if DLH stands there and trades like he said he would do then hes gonna end up getting KOed. The only way Mayo looses is if DLH is on his A game and he hasn't been for years.

There is something you forgot about Mayorga he got soft body. In Trinidad fight he was KOed with a hook to the stomach. probably because he smokes so I dont think he got the stamina. Oscar will win by KO in the 10th round. He will concentrate on Mayorgas body not head and will try to weaken him till he is KOed Yeha agree their about OSCAR beating Mayorga, but never mistake OSCARS Power for TITOS, TITOS HOOKS where legendary, don't think any1 would ave got up from tht shot he hit Mayorga with, TITO used 2 have BOMBS in thos FISTS :D

I Got Oscar winning this 1,I was thinking when Oscar took this fight "as he got the Hunger for fighting anymore" but i think MAYORGAs MOUTH has change tht OSCARS PISSED which can only mean TROUBLE for MAYORGA lol, i always thought tht mayorgas best hope was tht Oscar inactive for 18 months and now invloved with his promotional company might go into this fight lacking intensity and focus, THE GOLDEN BOY gonna destory MAYORGA

If Oscar is even a fraction of his former self, he should easily dispatch of Mayorga. In their primes, this is a mismatch. However, they are not, and that add to the intrigue of this bout. There are a lot of questions coming into this fight. Is Oscar what he used to be? Will Mayorga be in shape? The answer to both is probably no, but Oscar will have enough left in his tank to beat Mayorga, imo. But DLH needs to attack Mayorga's body. That's probably the key.

As much as i like DLH i don't see him winning this fight by just boxing. Mayorga is the type of guy that will chase you lol. Mayorga ends the fight with a shocking KO that makes DLH hang em up!

I'd love to jump on the conspiracy bandwagon about Mayorga winning by KO and then signing up to Golden Boy promotions.. hehe.. but I just don't buy it. DLH is too good to lose to Mayorga. Mayorga will come on strong early, but it'll be DLH outboxing him late to take the decision.

Quick Corrections...Oscar Started as a Super Featherweight/Jr. Lightweight. He has been fighting Welterweight-Jr.Middleweight before he fought in the Middleweight Divion.
