Somebody....please tell me why.....

Byrd has never had to deal with a heavyweight that size who throws his straight punches with such speed and power. Byrd looks elusive as well against most heavyweight because their punching technique is flawed but it's hard to avoid that straight right down the pipe that Wlad throws. For this reason, I don't think even James Toney, the most clever heavyweight in the division, will fare very well against Wladimir with Emmanuel Steward in his corner. The guy is the best in the division at this time.

Actually I wonder if Klitchko beat Byrd or did his wife and father lose it for him...LOL...his dad wasnt very helpfull..and I hate to say it cuz in my home state of Michigan...Joe Byrd is a living legend. Well, anyway, Byrd got hios payday, now he can go home, do some gardening and let his wife scream at him from the kitchen window...LOL... lol,,,,when his wife yelled at him in the corner "chris you need to work on the inside" I was waiting for papa byrd to shout back,,"shut up you stupid bitch,,,,Im the trainor here". that was ridiculous. who the hell does she think she is. thats just embarrassing and humiliating to the fighter. if she was my wife,,,she'd have divorce papers so fast it would make her head spin

Chris Byrd sat right in front of Klitchko all night. Byrd is famous for his ability to avoid being hit flush, not always, but thats his schtick...thats what he's best at, then he comes in the ring and takes a seat on a park bench and gets completely throttled by Klitchko. Why would he do this...it makes no sense. He would have done at least better bringing his punches from different angles. WHY? becuase he tried moving and boxing him last time and it didnt work. so,,this time he decided to sit and trade and it turned out even worse. it was a shoot or be shot strategy and he got shot down

Byrd 's wife summarized his performance. "Byrd you're fighting stupid"

omg you really to love the BITCHKO;S Thats nice to hear...but in reality I'm not a huge fan of either boxer. I'm more of a fan of some of the young Russian heavyweight prospects.

Please dont misunderstand me...I am not saying that I am a better cutman than the legendary Joe Byrd...I would have handled it differently, his attention was divided between too many responsibilities, and any trainer that does both cuts and instructs and hydrates...falls under that same thing...Goosen in Diego Corrales's coener when he beat Castillo...same thing, Corrales had a huge swell that didnt recieve the attention I think it needed, and did you also notice that in the second fight between these guys...there was one of my idols.....Jacob Stitch Duran....they learned their lesson the first time around...ended up they didnt need him much...fight was over b4 it started....

That was one thing I didnt understand...yes Byrd was hurt bad in the 7th and yes his back was to the ref and when he turned around he was dazed but what about at least a standing 8 count, there was still time left in the round and maybe just maybe he could have made it to his corner b4 the 8th round to give his dad a chance to work on the cut and the noose bleed and the swell. I see this problem all the time...trainers working cuts...I believe in the 3 man system...in that system one man (the assistant) works the icebag the spit bucket and water over the head and dries up the corner as the bell rings...the cutman addresses any issues or possible issues such as the fighter keeps taking shots to the same part of the face..I'll start working the endswell b4 it swells, prevention makes a good cutman a great cutman (Lou Duva says a great cutman has the gift of foresight)...any cuts worked and then greases him up for the next round...the trainer takes care of the drinking water and the stool and is the only one who should be giving instructions...this is the best way to handle a corner...any other way just isnt the same as 3 people all with assigned tasks get the job done and get em out there...as far as Byrd...he needed a separate cutman..we are talking a swell under the right eye, a huge cut over the left and one nostril was bleeding...I would have immediately gone to work on the cut with coagulant, got my swab in position and applied heavy pressure, then I would have swabbed his nose with coagulant and then I would have grabbed my endswell from my corner jacket pocket and applied heavy direct pressure to the swell under the right eye and then just b4 the bell, coagulated vasiline into the cut so it can work during the round...problem is...my coagulants would have been working harder than Byrd. Just callin it like I see it...

Did you think that his dad was a big help, did Byrd do anything his father told him...I take you back to when Peter Manfredo had his father in the corner...and you can probably go back through the years and see a lot of father/son corners...as soon as freddie roach took over for Manfredo he instantly became a better fighter...not great just better, maybe having his father in there wasnt his best choice...it wasnt what he did, it was what he didnt do... Byrd could have used you he was bleeding like a Pig. :D

I see the reasoning Byrd had but he would have been much better off dancing around and coming in at different angles.He was litereally a punching bag and good chin or not Wlad can hit hard as fuck especially when you stand right in front of his robot like ass.

He was trying to break Wlad down by going to the body, and he thought that he would allow Wlad to run out of stamina and tried to block his shots with his gloves, which was not effective. Eventually he got hit enough times in the head that his entire strategy was just...no strategy at all. Then he got knocked down and was out of the fight from that point. I heard his corner screaming...ANGLE SHOTS!...but oh well Wlad breaks down boxers with his punches thats what he's done his entire career. His punch strenght is highly underated. is Vitali Klieeschko a Tranformer fan? Look at his sirt.

that first knockdown in the 5th round was awesome...first you hear the air leaving the glove and then you hear the knuckles hitting him square in the face...it was like 2 different sounds and it was sooooooo loud....I couldnt believe Byrd got up
