It already happened. Byrd hasn't done shit lately and neither has Wlad. I personally think it will go the distance and it's in Germany... so there's no chance Byrd will get the decision.
This ultimately is an indication about Wlad fans. They don't care who Wlad fights, even a blown up cruiser he beat years ago. They're the only fans that I know of that don't want their fighter to fight the favorite.
I don't have a favorite fighter per se. But I like to watch Mayweather and I have been vocal about him not fighting the best. NO WLAD fan has been even remotely critical of who he fights.
Why is this?
All this to me, just buttresses my theory that the Klitschkos are the Great Hypes.
What's even sicker is that these Wlad fans don't even discuss boxing if it's not the Klitschkos. This is my beef.
Also, casual fans seem to like just the heavyweight division. They, like I use to think the midgets below them were for circus acts. But as you become a fan of the sport, you appreciate the lower divisions more. That's why I think 90% of the Klitschko fans are casual fans so there will always be friction between them and those that watch the entire sport.
Just my two cents.
the threadstarter is a classic hater....enough said and he looks like a retard anyways. on a more important note, i think byrd will give wlad a tougher fight than people think, but i see wlad winning in the end.

Have you forgotten that byrd is ranked number 1 by ring magazine
More lies... welcome to my ignore list.
That's the new spammer motto: Don't have anything to say, make a lie about someone. Maybe it'll come true
You've already said you think Byrd will beat Wlad, but that he'll lose only if he gets robbed on the cards.
So if Wlad "upsets" Byrd and there is no controversial decision, then that should impress you, right? Anytime you think a fighter will lose and he wins, then you should be impressed, I think.
There is no way this fight will not be exciting. Byrd cannot stand on the outside and win, so he's got to actually be the agressor, which will lead to an interesting fight, I think. Wlad doesn't like being pressured, and Byrd knows that's his only chance. Pure Boxer vs Boxer-Puncher. It'll certainly be more exciting than that embarassment of a joke of a fight called "Rahman-Toney."
So Flyy, would you mind listing off your top 10 HW's? Should be interesting...
You must feel like shit for BS'ing yourself. Byrd a heavyweight threat? Nope. He has been inactive and he can't hurt Wlad nor get a decision in Germany. Get real.
That's what Wlad fans do... make the opponents seem like Ali. Byrd would get TKO'd by Brewster the guy Wlad should be fighting.

Who had Sam Peter beaten to even be considered a challenger? You heard right... he's hand selecting his opponents.
This fight happened years ago. Byrd is no threat. Wlad pussy footed around to fighting Byrd again instead of going through who many saw as the man at heavy (Brewster). Wlad has a record of not rematching the people that kick his ass. Since his brother can't fight his battles, he's just going to avoid him.
Homie, homie, be honest with me, which of your favorite fighters did Wlad defeat?
Seriously though, Peters may have been a bit green still but their was no denying the fact that Peters was a very dangerous opponet for Wlad. In my opinion Peters would defeat Brewster and this is pre Liayotich.
I think the situation here is that you belive Wlad will beat Byred easily, but I don't think it will be that easy. And plus their is always the question of how will Wlad hold under pressure?
When I heard Wlad calling for this fight I was very surprised because Byrd is probably at his most dangerous now, because he is almost on his way out of boxing and I don't think he wants to leave. He want's to keep fighting and prove he is the best and fighting Wlad again will be a differnt fight for him since I expect him go all out and try to win so who know what will happen. Their is no gurentee that Wlad will win.

Did you just say Wlad is taking on hand picked opponets? Samuel Peters was no easy fight for Wlad.
And how can you not be excited about this fight? You must be a bit burned out on boxing or watching Wlad continue his boxing career.
Byrd is going to give it his best and so is Wlad. Wlad already beat Byrd once buy can he do it again? Wlad has been known to have mental breakdowns and Byrd is small but mentally, a giant of confidence.
Who know what the hell is going to happen when these two fight again. One thing Iam mad about is that hbo will only be showing one fight, that stupid, who do they think they are showtime. Their in germany they could have showed the next Ricky Hatton or some other action european fighter so the ameican public keep aware of the european boxing scene.
Wlad v. Byrd is a very interesting fight, sucks that you aint hyped up for this fight. But shit happens somtimes.
I haven't made a Wlad thread in the longest time. I am pissed because this guy is the great ______ hype. He truly is. Sergei has a greater stake in the heavyweight picture than Wlad. But for some reason Wlad is given chance after chance despite looking shitty in his bouts.
You just want a eastern European champ so badly, you're willing to ignore who he fights. That is truly pathetic.
Man you need to go out there and get laid, once again with the Wladimir threads.

Byrd is one of the top heavyweights in the sport. A win over him ensures Wlad a top five position on any remotely objective list.

maybe we'll see something diferent here on Saturday. Since the 1st fight, Byrd hasn't lost, while Wlad's chin has been exxxposed big time gainst deifferent type of fightas. Comin to this fight, Byrd might have a different mentality seeng Wlad get dropped many times. All this despite the fact that Byrd cannot crack. We'll see I guess. I fo one aint overly excited, but definitely I'm interested and will not miss this fight.
Even a non boxing champion should be excited of the propsect of a unified champion. We all know that Wladimir has a better chance of unifying the titles than Byrd. Even an absolute hater has to realize that Wlad is a more exciting fighter than Byrd and better for boxing.
Byrd is a nice guy but I hope he retires after this fight with his health and his mind intact. He hasn't had a big convincing win in years.
