JUNE 03, 2006 @ Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas Nevada.
Co-Header of Castillo-Corrales fight.
What are your predictions? Who wins and how?
Damn that sucks. I wanted to put some money on Arthur ABraham on his last fight but the odds were even worse. It payed 100 bucks on 500 or something. :)
vic's resume isn't all that better either!...
I disagree with you buddy. Darchinyan has a better resume than Maldonado. Darchinyan has faced decent opposition and has KOed all of them while Maldonado has fought 2 decent guys and DRAWn with one of them. Maldonado might be a good fighter but his resume sucks.
they're giving vic a fake ko guy to make vic look good only..i can't wait for Arce to knock him back to armenia. Vic is a paper champion..he has no boxing skills..Arce will easily knock him out
Hey alliberg26 don't even bother posting. Seems like you don'y know anyone in the fly division besides Arce, who doesn't want to be in the ring with Vic. Right now Vic is number 1 at fly since hes willing to take anyone. None of the other champs are. THey are taking on weak opposition. And your saying Vics a paper champ? GO FUCK URSELF. Whoz that bitch in the picture is it ur sister?
what time does this fight start on SHOWTIME??
im kinda confused, the Showtime website says 9pm PST/EST
does that mean we dont get it LIVE here on the west coast??
He has to be willing to face him in the ring before he can Knock him out.
At the moment it seems he wants no part of a fight against Vic, even though he is being called out.
Jdizzle and woftam, 2 men that can speak the truth man, now that i like.

well said, thats what i was saying earlier, that records can be quite decieving as in Maldonado's case.
For a 33-0 guy that turned pro back in 1998, its odd that it has taken him 8 years to finally get a World Title shot even though he has stayed undefeated his whole career.
Nonetheless, its gonna be an exciting fight.
i disagree with most similar posts........its not easy to get fights in the fly division.....that is why the take on whoever will figh them...vic's resume isn't all that better either!...

what a loser you are, just talkin nonsense.
why dont you find ur little pu$$y boy Arce and tell him that Vic wants to beat his ass, see what his answer is.
Vic has called out Arce more than once and he will knock that little fuker back to Mexico but the guy wont fight him, so shut ur mouth.
Vic is a paper champion?? you clearly are a moron. wow!
Anyone have highlights of this Maldonado guy?
hey Ashot,
Vic and Vanes had a local LIVE tv interview today on an Armenian Channel in Glendale. Vic is flying to Vegas tommorow morning and will leave for Australia straight from Vegas. He was feeling real good, he had some videos of Maldonado, and Maldonado is a real fighter, its gonna be a brawl again.
Vic, is it important at this stage of your career to win this fight and defend your title, or are you trying to make a statement and win by knockout?
It is a very good opportunity for me. I have won a lot of my fights since winning the title by knockout. It is very important for me to win by knockout.
Vic Darchinyan is going to go for the KO guys. Maldonado has to watch out, hes in for a dangerous ride and im not talking about the Manhattan Express.
It's pathetic. Look at his recent opponents:
Julio Grimaldo 1-3-1
Guadalupe Arce 1-16-0
Fred Heberto Valdez 0-9-0
After Vics done with him his record is going to be 30-1-1

well when he fights guys that are 1-3 and 9-9 in his 30th and 31st title fight, its no wonder why he hasnt gotten a shot.
talk about an inflated record...
actully LOOK at his record...its terrible.
he has fought one decent opponent and drawn with him. look at the caliber of guys hes faced.
Vic by knockout.
