Margarito could be something special ;) yet to be seen though, needs to fight better opposition
word but like this reply to the post that this guy posted to your post Marg can get stuff done agienst Floyd even with Marg being much slower. Marg throws hard punches from angles and body positions that floyd has never seen befor sometime Marg gets funky but effective in his shot selection. IMO cintron was much faster and hit harder than Marg and look what happened.
I see the fight being a TKO for PBF. Lead left hooks and overhand right counters. Margarito's punches are too predictable for floyed. The moment margartio even thinks about punching, floyed will put some hurt on him. I don't see how margarito can win. His punches are too wide, and he is just too slow.
Corrales was extremely dehydrated for that fight and really struggled to make weight. The PBF fight was last fight at 130 and he immediately went to lightweight after that. I'm a huge Corrales fan and think he would've still lost to PBF even if they fought at 135 but just think it would've been much more competitive. If you have a chance look at weight-in photos of that fight. Castillo looked real bad, it even looked a little worse than the last weight-in for Cotto and Arce.
Margarito is not a match for PBF, bombs are no good if they cant land and PBF will just play drums on his face Gatti style....
that is not the correct picture:
afer the floyd fight, corrales didnt fight for months, came back, fought nobodies while trainin down to 130 again to fight casamayor and in 2004 (3 years and something after he fought floyd) he had his last fight at 130 against casamayor.
I think that when he was 3 years younger he shuold not have had that many problems making weight
If Tony and PBF step in the ring, which I assume they will. I like PBF by late round ref stoppage.
Style makes fights, and this is just a really bad match up for Tony. You aren't going to land anything on Floyd throwing nothing but wide, slow hooks. Floyd is just going to be having a hayday on Tony's face.
By the end of this one, I'd be suprised if Tony could see out of both eyes from the massive swelling.
LOL
Floy would brake out with his new bicycle......and peddal faster then ever before.

I am not stupid to know that Floyd has everything on Margarito and has a easy chance at schooling him. PBF is faster, a better boxer, has a better defense,etc... but we have herd this before many times with other fighters that were suppose to humiliate him but instead got Ko'ed by him. So i think no matter what, Margarito has a chance, one way or another he has surprised better oppostion by taking them out of the gameplan. By suddenly cuttig of the ring a certain way or doing things he's not good at. I will watch it, it will be interesting. Zab is faster and everything but he has tasted stardom and fame, margarito has never which is why i believe he has a good chance at upsetting floyd some way because of how mcuh he wants it.
margarito bum rushes you and doesn't let you breathe...he would eventually knock pbf out..corley hurt mayweather ..imagine a much harder puncher landing a punch...and then if pbf rolls with the punches margarito loves to hit the belly and arms..and before you know his opponents are getting knocked out....margarito has an way of taking better skilled opponents out of their game when they start feeling his punches...they become way more defensive then they become unconscious
can you do me a favor and PLEASE watch the corley fight
i like floyd by UD,

Yeah you're right, it seemed like there were only a few times when he really went after Floyd, do you think a 100% Corrales would have won?
I still think Floyd would have won on that night no matter how inspired Corrales came, Im not sure he would'nt have got knocked out sooner if he'd been more ambititous. I know it seems Im contradicting my self but I believe he could have made the fight more exciting while it lasted. Theres just something about his style and the way he throws his shots. I think the more he'd try the more Floyd would be able to pot shot and get into a defensive position, or pot shot some more on account of Corrales does'nt seem to take a shot as well as Castillo. Its those sharp punches you don't see coming that bother Corrales. whereas Castillo eats them up like pac man :boxing:
I know what your sayin but Corrales was very uninspired in that fight, he did'nt really seem to try that hard to me. Might have had something to do with him being in court shortly after.
or it could have had something to do with getting punched repeadtly and not being able to hit the guy back

if zab landed those left hands on floyd what maks u think margarito cant how can u compare diego to margarito plus the foght like six years ago and that was super feather and margarito is an average welter
margarito isnt half as quick has zab judah..thats why genious...
If Corrales couldn't land any bombs on Floyd, I don't see Margarito landing any.

Zab is an incredibly fast welter, Corrales is rangy and has some power like Margarito, just lighter and faster. It's hard to compare Zab's speed to Margarito's, and even Zab didn't land
THAT many clean hard punches on Floyd. Margarito is a large welter that really likes hooks, not the best style to land on Floyd, even with the size advantage.

Zab is much quicker than Margarito and has a southpaw stance which has given PBF some difficulty in the past (Demarcus Corley). With Margarito who has relatively wide punches and less speed than Zab or Corrales. Also with Margarito's traditional right handed stance its hard to get a right in on PBF due to his sholder rolls and him raising his shoulder to his ear.
Margarito will come hard the first few rounds but get increasingly dominated from round 3 on.

some people on here put too much stock into power punchers. you have to be able to hit floyd in order to hurt him and floyd can take a punch when somehow he gets hit. the shot that hurts the most is the one you never see coming.
