What is it about this violent, dangerous sport that attracts you so much? How did you get so passionate about boxing?
Me - I love the drama of boxing and how it is so different to your everyday sport. I love it coz it is man's instinct to fight. I like to watch the amazing skill of the lighter boxers boxers and the unbelieveable power of the bigger lads. I also like the way it can prepeare you for out of the ring situations when u may need to defend yourself or others.
I used to box. But i like the unpredictablity of boxing. The one on one, no team to help you. Boxing test a mans will and hunger, in the boxing ring your soul is shown to everybody and you get to see what a fighter is made of.
Then of course theirs the skills, the raw power, the technique, the questions of how a fighter is able to dominate a division or his opponet. The psychology of a fighters will over their opponet.
How in a matter of half a second a fight can be won or lost. How hearing the scorcards of a very close fight has you growing grey hair. The debates of boxing. Comparing one era to another era.
Seeing fighters win, seeing fighters fail. Seeing fighters have what it takes only to be side tracked, seeing fighter come up the ranking and get shafted in their world title shot and to come back stronger then ever and defeat or surpase their conquers status. The victory, seeing a fighter come up through the rankings and become world champion, defending world champion and maybe a great fighter and or an all-time great fighter.
dats everything i wanted to say and more
it da greatest sport dere is, two guys, one ring, no teams to hide behind, no excuses, the better man comes out on top, even thought the judges may fuck you but everybody who watches can really see who won da fight - as long as u put da p-nut butter wit da jelly

...Coz i wish i could knock someone out..and if i watch boxing enuff...IT COULD HAPPEN!!...
Nah seriously...i duno really, its just good to watch, watching two guys trying to kill each other.
The thing that makes me love boxing is that there is no sport in the world that test an individual in the way boxing does. You have to be in amazing shape you have to have a hunger to be the best. There are no team members to help you. You need to be willing and able to take a punch as well as dish it out. Also when you get two guys in the ring that want to win equaly you some times get magical fights. Also watching a fighter devolep and become better like Mayweather is special They Are rare Gems And when they Fight you get to see there amazing abilitys. There is no sport like boxing Ive been to every sporting event in exsistence soccer baseball football hockey basketball etc. but a live boxing match has so much energy and excitment that the others pale in comparisson.
Alot of reasons but mainly because it is an individual sport and it takes extreme courage and conditioning. It is also great because a fight can change in a split second with one punch......You really never know who is going to win and thats why they fight. :boxing:
cuz it's the best sport there. So much talent involve, so much variety, so much drama etc. Fvck them team sports fo me. Can't trust some doos on a team sport. Boxing = Best!
"because I can't sing or dance"
hahahahaha same here :D
Boxing, for me, has much to offer...the great technician showing off his craft, and the power puncher that can turn a fight around with one punch. Good stuff!! You've got two men legally beating the hell out of each other and getting paid to do it, whats not to love?
I love boxing because it leaves nothing unturned. It is a symbol of human struggle and survival that manifests itself in the ring. All the best attributes of fighters are pitted againts each other in a battle of skill and will for the chance to fight another day or to attain immortality. Some of these warriors win the adoration of boxing fans because of extraordinary heart and will. Some fans admire the grace and skill of a chessmaster in the ring, calculating his moves to get that checkmate. Many fighters are endowed with God given talent and some make up for it with hard work and dedication. I like seeing fighters train because it shows how dedicated they are. When all is said and done, everything boils down in the ring come fight night. When two dedicated and skilled fighters with big hearts collide, it is man vs. man and is something I cannot miss.
I love boxing because it's two men going head to head, one on one... When u watch street fights its never a one on one thing anymore there's always several people involved. Also because watching certain fighters, u enjoy seeing the rage and aggression some of them show in the ring, Mike Tyson in particular, when he came into the ring u know u were watching someone that's genuinely intending to take someone's head off. I love boxing cuz I cant find the same kind of inspiration or motivation that boxing gives me from any other source.
