You still dont get it man, its no use talkin to u, my basis for p4p is skill and quality of opposition. The skill for PBF is there is opposition is not. You cannot honestly say PBf has beaten guy is the top 10 since 2002 that doesnt cut it on my list. PBF other opposition is inferior when compared to winky and manny p. While Winky has great skills and has fought better opposition p4p material. Manny P also has good skills and has fought the best most in p4p top 10. And my point for this thread is that if Gatti beats Baldy he would be recognized the champ not by just me, but the world, its called a linear champion, he would be rewarded w/ the ring belt along w/ the WBC belt which has a ton of more worth than that IBF strap PBF has got. It is just funny how thing work out man, deal with it. It just happens when kids like you think ppl downplay their fighter they try and cause a ruckus. THIS THE SITUATION - Let me tell you this, as you all know I am not a big fan of PBF at all but I do give him credit for beating Zab and didnt resort to thug tactics like Judah, which he could have because PBF was losing for almost the first half of the fight so I do respect that. So that is really what it comes down to at 147 if Gatti beats Baldy it gonna be up to him on how many defense he makes before he vacates the title. In the mean time what should happen is after Collazo Hatton should fight Spinks and Mayweather should fight Margarito and the winner of those 2 should fight for the eventual linear title at 147 that Gatti will vacate only ppl who think gatti is the "key" are italians...end of story

I don't think he ever said Gatti was the truth, just that if he were to beat Baldomir, he should be the champ. I guess you could say that currently, Baldomir and PBF have equal claim to the title, even though Floyd is by far the superior fighter. in my opinion i think vargas is now also ;) Gotta agree with you there. They put him in too soon versus Tito and ODLH who both gave him hilacious beatings, I think he is a shot fighter. He still has some skills left but its not at the elite A level but more at the B.

I also think Gatti has an excellent post fighting career due to his popularity. I dont want to see Gatti go down the road Holyfield is going, with clearly diminished physical skills and apparent brain damage (at least where speech is concerned). C'mon man, you don't see it? He looked just like Cotto did against Abdul..whatever his name is when he fought Leija. Gatti doesn't move that well in reverse, but neither does Cotto, and Cotto is a plodder big time when he comes forward, much like Gatti. I can't see how everyone thinks Cotto has so much more power than Gatti, they are pretty much the same size, and I have never seen Cotto put punches together the way Gatti has in so many of his fights. If Gatti came in and tried to box Cotto, I could see where that would be a mistake, but if he came in and fought, I can't see Cotto holding up. EDIT: I just wanted to add that I don't mean to disrespect Cotto or any of his fans, this is only my opinion. Understood, and just to point out also I'm a huge Gatti fan and love his heart. I truly consider him the Rudy of boxing, if he had the talent of a Zab he could've been an all time great. I also think that Cotto is more polished than Gatti, however I do agree with your assesment of Cotto putting his punches together recently. But you have to look at his fights of a couple of years ago to see his fluid combinations. I am of the oppinion that his making weight has taken some polish off of him but that he will return to earlier form at 147lbs. Cotto has better hand speed than Gatti had and more pop. Gatti has the heart but he has been rocked and floored by multiple fighters, but he still gets up and thats why he is exciting. Cotto has also been rocked by multiple fighters but I think he has also shown heart in that he showed good recuperative ability and actually knocked out the two fighters who rocked him.
