Why did Brewster trade Reid for McGirt?

Buddy told him the right things to do Brewster just simply got beat. Blaming the trainer is such an easy way out...

McGirt screwed up Gatti and Tarver, now he is trying to screw up Brewster. He doesn't have a fuckin' clue about training fighters. I will never forget McGirt and Gatti sitting in a press conference and telling the world that Mayweather isn't all that good a boxer! What a bloody joke because he actually believed it. Then he trains Gatti to try to out box the best boxer in the world. This level of stupidity is beyond belief yet it happened. hes made gatti a mnore complete fighter, and tarver is the top of the lhw division...

McGirt is a good trainer. Maybe he thought McGirt could fix his shortcomings.

Looking for excuse's why Brewster lost are you? Reid would not have made a difference. Mcgirt is a more polished trainer than Reid. Brewster wanted to become more of a boxer than a brawler and Mcgirt is a good candidate to do it. He just happened to run into a better boxer who could take a shot and give in return.

That's just fucking stupid. Brewster's two best performances came under Reid. Whatever. McGirt sucks. lol,,,I love how the nuthuggers need to find blame elsewhere. mcgirt told brewster the right things but brewster is just too one dimensional to execute. he has a great heart and good power but little else. he's beaten no one of note besides wlad who was destroying him till he punched himself out,,so this loss should not have been a shock. What are you guys talking about? Gatti is way way better since he is training with McGirt. Tarver is also a well trained boxer, he came into the second fight with Johnson with great strategy. Guys, Brewster has lost to Cifford Etienne and Charles Shufford, this shouldn't be blamed on McGirt. I do however think that someone like Lamon Brewster can only be effective if he is constantly moving his head and putting pressure on his opponents.

lol brewster changed his long time trainer and manager just before this fight. and i i think that cost him this fight. and i have never really rated buddy mcshit.

I had a bad feeling about it too but you can't take away anything from Lyakhovich! He took Lamon's best and won the fight. Lamon through a ton of power shots. I don't think it would have mattered who trained Lamon because he just got beat.

I guess he thought that Buddy could turn him more into a boxer and not a slugger like he did with Gatti.I'm not saying it was a bad move but maybe he should have stayed with a guy he had been working with for awhile.
