Great??????????

Actually, I was gonna just wait until you wrote your book, you know, and just get my boxing info from that one but I said "Ahh, Enadeus is taking too long so let me crank one out." And really, what some of you don't seem to realize.... I don't care too much about the money, son. You think I started writing this book so I could make money????? And you thought I was writing the original post with one thing in mind but what you dont know is that right after the fight I got 5 or 6 IM's in a 30 second span with people telling me the fightlast night was one of the greatest heavyweight fights in years... maybe it was, but it got me thinking how underrated a fight like The Thrilla In Manila really was. As good as last nights was it doesn't compare to the Thrilla. People were excited that there is a new heavyweight in the division that is exciting, willing to trade, and is a true heavyweight warrior unlike the phonies we have right now. Thats all I was trying to say. I apologize for the book comment I got out of hand. The fight was not greatest of all time, but it sure was an exciting fight, one of the most exciting since possibly Lewis vs Vitali and I was personally pumped for Wlad vs Peter because I won big $$ on that fight so I was on the edge of my seat each time Wlad was knocked down thinking I had blew it.

It wasn't the best hw fight ever but it was great.You can't help but kind of get caught up in it and say things that may be a little bit overboard. Exactly, end of story. No need for this thread.

There just isn't a big enough market for it to be a success beyong maybe a few thousand copies sold if he does some kind of book tour, but even then will the people that bought it read it or will they just be looking for an autograph. I know cause I've been at insider book parties for people who have published hundreds of articles and poems in major and well known magazines and still get published at small labels while he has probably never written anything significant in his life and his posts aren't great either. On a side note, mystyal if you check your Karma a bit back I gave you Karma message saying "I think you will be champ one day". Any case I'm done with this thread I'mma take a couple of shots and celebrate Sergei's victory Russian style. So why is that a reason to criticize him? Because hes taking a chance and writting a book,taking a chance on it not doing well financialy? You ever wrote a book? Have a best seller to your name do you? Scully is very often asked by posters here for his opinion on diffrent things,and thats one reason why he posts here.Shit I dont always agree with what he says,but i dont resort to petty shit talking and personal attacks.

Well he is promoting his book half the time on the site my guess not paying any advertising fee's at all. That and I've made several posts saying that the guy didn't mean the greatest of all time but a great fight in a long time in the heavyweight division and he still makes a thread and like an idiot puts 10 question marks in it. If thats really why youre criticizing him thats weak man.What does any of that have to do with this thread.He said it was a really good fight and other than that all he did was give his opinion.

Sure the fight tonight was real good but Listen... good fight, sure. But Ali-Frazier 3 puts that fight to SHAME!!!!!! Come on, Frazier landing big huge shots.. ALI landing COMBINATIONS in succession... guys today land three punches in a row and everybody gets crazy.. Ali at his peak would repeatedly land five or six FLUSH shots in a row on opponents, especially vs. Smoking Joe and Joe would be rightback on him... those guys TRADED punches. The first and third Ali-Frazier fights make this fight tonight, as good as it was, look average. It was good action the second part of the fight, Im not sure if I'd call it fight of the year but it was a good fight.

Honestly, I hope he's not spending tooo much time on his book cause no one is going to buy it. He wont find a real publisher to put the book on the market. He will sit out in front of Wal-Marts with stapled pages of his photo copied glued on to cardboard joke of a so called book selling them for loose change.

No one is saying its the greatest of all time, it was the best in a while in a terrible heavyweight division. How many clinches were there the entire fight, 10 maybe?
