I'm sure that this question is on a lot of people's minds. Some may think that on April 8th, Zab Judah is going to be the man to do it. In my opinion, if you just give him a little bit of time to establish himself more, Miguel Cotto will eventually take him. Cotto is slick, he has good defense, he's technically sound, and he has a devastating punch. I think that Cotto-Mayweather will be a fight that we all will remember.
I think Castillo, Hatton and Cotto have a much better chance against each other than against PBF, dont get me wrong each has a shot but I wouldn't wager on anyone of them vs PBF. Now with these 3 guys they can have some real battles amongst themselves I forsee a FOTY or two if any of these guys fight each other.
Khan is probably the biggest boxing name over here people want to see him. All his fights are shown on terrestial tv even though they are against bums and people watch him. Khan wont be going to America until he is a world champion or if he gets beat somewhere along the line, like fraudley. This country is obsessed with Olympians.
I just want to see him fight Hatton because if he beats Hatton easily then he is the fucking greatest because I cant imagine anyone beating Ricky easily. If Maywaether hangs around long enough for Amir to fight him then he could be beat, but Khan is with Warren he is going to be at least 30-0 before he fights anyone dangerous, Mayweather will be old by then and more than likely gone, probably retired possibly undefeated, but if he isnt Khan could get him, though I agree with optimus I think Khan got knocked down in an amateur contest by domestic amateur not so long before he turned pro raising questions about his chin, but the guy is awesome.
He better start fighting in the states, so we can see him.
to bad well never know because i don't see PBF takeing this fight. PBF will not fight anyone he thinks has a chance at beating him even if the fans would love to see it.
probably so...

he's got fast hands, but not as fast as when he was @ 135 and definitely not as fast as FMJ. He does have a good chin, but at 147 his power is not there, let alone 154. He's not the same wya he used to be, he used to move a lot, now he moves, but stay in front of you too long sometimes and FMJ will capitalize on that, but yuou may be right.

why not
shane still has some pretty fast hands we know he has a good chin and hes had good power in the lower weight classes. its possible in my mind :p

This thread has been done about a billion times, but I'll chip in with my 2 cents anyways...
I actually have fifty quid on Cotto to beat PBF if this fight ever happens, but I wouldnt be surprised if I lose. Cotto has looked a bit shaky recently whereas PBF seems to be going from strength to strength. That said, PBF will never have faced someone that can punch as hard as Cotto, or with as good a chin. I still think that Cotto COULD beat PBF but whether he WOULD or not is a different issue.
cotto is a overrated hbo fighter he's been shaky because he doest hit hard enough to keep his old style.I think mayweather is overrated as well but he would beat cotto to death easy. if zab throws left hands bombs fast hard and.just be explosive he can.stop floyd if he boxes he can't win
To those looking for Amir Khan to beat Mayweather - this would never happen. PBF is too balanced, has too good a defence, has more power than Khan in my opinion, he's just far too good for Khan to ever beat unless it was prime Khan vs 36 year old mayweather, which isn't really a very good comparison because someone else will have beaten PBF by then. The only thing Khan has on him is reach (the guy has got the makings of an outstanding jab) and possibly pure handspeed, even though PBFs balance more than negates this. PLus Khan's chin is untested and will be his downfall I feel.
I don't think any of the current contenders individually would beat Floyd, but chances are that if you fight enough, you're gonna get beaten, so on any one night, an upset could happen. Not Cotto though! No chance! Hatton or Margarito have much better chances IMO.
If old Hatton and Mayweather ever pick it in the ring, I tab Hatton. If he were slightly slower, he'd be in trouble, but his fast feet and good handspeed put him at a distinct advantage over most others.

it's already been done and was by castillo in the first fight!...everybody knows this!!
cotto is not a legit boxer yet. he would get eaten alive. i need some more proof. Hes boxed all the ppl that other good fighters used as tuneup fights. Shane has no chance either because floyd is too well schooled to fall in to shanes bullshit speed flurry punches. I cannot say anything about Hatton cus I have never watched him fight. Nobody say Tzyu please because hes the slowest mother****** ive seen at welterweight. I have not seen margarito fight as well but im assuming he has no big claims to his name. I am a little nervous though that on APR. 8, Zab is gunna have one of his wide looping fast punches, as he did with Tzyu before he got knocked out, and catch floyd.
a couple years back on a another website. which gets info only out of the horse's mouth, **********. had an interview with roger maywheather in where he said. the only person we think would give floyd problems is miguel cotto. now floyd cares and obviously does what his uncle thinks is in his best interest. so obviosly floyd must of said something to roger.i clearly rememeber around that time floyd was calling everyone but cotto. now after cotto's his last three performances. he'll tell anyone who will listen's. that cotto is too green for him and that he would blow him out of the water. now in my opnion i feel at 147, if he has his confidence back. i think kermit cintron has the power and the reach to beat and possibly stop floyd. i definetly bet he could take out zab really quick. now your gonna say margarito beat kermit. but margarito was not afraid of cintron and kermit knew that. plus he was rushed to a title fight especially against a tough opponent like margarito. floyd tells anyone who will listen that he has too much skills for margarito. i think he is right. at 154, depending how much he has left in the tank. i think forrest could definitely give him problems. for some reason i think ouma would give him problems beleive it or not. i think his work rate is some what like castillo's. which i think floyd was given a gift in their first fight. ouma can put that pressure on him and is a southpaw like corley. two things floyd doesnt like. maybe father time catches up with him. or maybe he could be the one of the few great fighters to retire undefeated. he definitely has the skills and potentional to do so.
There's only one fighter from 154 down that has the body type, jab, strength, and most importantly style to beat Floyd Mayweather Jr.

I don't know what he has left in the tank though. But that Forrest jab would give Floyd major problems.
I was thinkin about that the other day.. he beat shane.. shane was super fast.. with skills. most people will say, Margarito, Hatton, cotto (which i think has no chance) and shane..
after thinking about it.. forrest can definately do it
Moseley??? No way!!! He's way past his best days.

i actully had a dream floyd lost to zab last nite...i woke up in a cold sweat
and btw, cotto hasnt shown to be slick or technical at all recently, idk what fights your talking about
