the thing about that low blow.... hitting a fighters beltline 3 times or so with absolutely no intention to land a low blow is one thing. intentionally throwing a power punch square on an opponent's nut cup is entirely different and is grounds for disqualification. hatton wouldn't have gotten away with that in any other country. tszyu mentioned after the fight in an interview i had read that the low blow thrown by hatton had really took a lot out of him. it seems that that low punch was the momentum changer.

That low blow by Hatton was sickening. Golota got DQ'd for less severe blows then that. That was a sick low blow no doubt. But in fairness to Hatton, Tszyu threw Hatton to the ground. Its seconds before Hatton, hits Tszyu low. So I think hitting low was a retaliation.

Hatton was just laying down the law to Tsyu..telling him he wouldn't take no more shit... He used his skill and brains to fight his own fight and won convincingly..Tsyu couldn't even come out in the last round...and Tsyu had no complaints at the end of the fight..infact they were very complementary towards each other..... So why the hell are you crying about it so much.. Get over it ... Its boxing not a dancing competition. Always have to find some excuse when your chosen boxer gets his asse handed to him... Boring.. yep its not a tickling competition, if someone hits you low you have to retaliate, fucking Gandhi would retaliate if you hit him low. Hatton is not that aesthetically pleasing but he is winner and an absolute beast in the ring and he'll get the job done. the Kostya Tsyu fight is the only one where Ricky Clinches so much because he knew that if he stood infront of Tsyu for too long Tsyu would break him in half, he done what he wanted to win the fight. Tsyu is a counterpuncher and Ricky is not exactly hard to hit is he?....people who criticise that performance are beyond reason, if he fought any other way he would not have won.
