Thought I'd give some credit to Riddick Bowe here......it was almost freakish how he, despite his height & reach, had developed such an awesome inside game. Chavez & Duran are my choices as the best I have seen.

I agree with all I read but you guys are forgetting Bernard Hopkins, the guy who could shoot you with a rifle, and hiding it from the ref (plus several clean fighting qualities, but seriously hopkins on the inside was something you did not want to deal with) Good call mute...Hopkins does rough other guys up on the inside. To be more specific, he FRUSTRATES the shit out of his opponents with the grappling and hitting on the hips. Trinidad and Echols prime examples... He does do a lot of good work on the inside.

castillo is one of the first to come to mind. hagler, JCC, frazier, marciano, LOUIS, ali, dempsey was downright brutal. probly either joe louis or jack dempsey.
