I agree. He is overrated, he beat many over the hill guys & his biggest when was Zab, now Zab is considered to be a bum. He was also stopped in his prime by Vince Phillips a B level fighter. Pretty much sums it up. Lets keep in mind...the victory over Mitchell was not that impressive. Mitchell himself was overrated, and he did a lackluster job in his fight with Tackie. Something Ricky Hatton made look relatively easy in pounding on him the distance. KT put on a pathetic, boring show. Outside of the forementioned names he's never beat anyone worth note....except for guys in wheelchairs. As a person: Great ambassador for the sport. Gentleman. Never made excuses for Hatton loss whether others would have Respectful of opponents As a boxer: Great right hand Excellent techique of throwing range finding jab followed by left hook and straight right. Great combination Extremely fit and dedicated trainer 2 style fighter. As an amateur evasive and in and out. As a pro, particulary post 2000 more of a power hitter and less movement. Great carear. Might have 1 more great night in him, espcially against a boxer rather then brawler like Hatton

Kostya had the style to beat Mayweather, without a doubt. Not a fight Mayweather ever wanted, I assure you.

The guy is not overrated, he had a hell of an amateur career.I wished the fight with Mayweather ocurred, can Mayweather really take one of Tszyu's bombs, thats the ?, i think Tszyu would have a shot with mayweather.

He cleaned out the division and unified the titles, becoming undisputed, and defended them, finally lost at 36. The Phillips loss is really his only blemish in a nearly perfect career.

Kostya Tszyu is a legend and the second best 140 pounder of all time, behing Aaron Pryer

family man great power respectful man Could have chose to fight Hatton differently and maybe will never beat hatton becuase he waited to long. Left hand was a great range finder one of the all time best lt welters..... probably the only one to fight and KTFO the other champs.... also will be well remembered for inflicting the now trademarked TM "chicken dance"....... also one of the best ever southpaw fighter...meaning he had every southpaws number... gentleman..... = LEGEND

Reason he didn't hit Hatton with a clean punch it's probaly because Ricky "The Clinchman" Hatton was uhhhhhhhh clinching. :cool: lol

he has a beautiful straight right hand down the pipe...but a fighter like Hatton who didn't allow him time on the outside to time and set it up just smothered it... that fight wasn't as one sided as some had made it out to be...I think technically it was fairly close (maybe Hatton by like 2 rounds)...but Kostya took more damage
