I voted for Peter, but no real reason why - just that his heaviest punches look very hard.
But the question is completely irrelevant. There are probably a number of big guys out there (football players, Shaquille O'Neal types), who can one-off a monster punch. The real question is whether you can deliver and land it in the ring. And on that one there's absolutely no comparison between Lewis and Peter.
It's hard to say because of a lack of common opponents, but in the end Lewis proved his power over superior opposition. I think shot for shot Peter hits consistently harder but Lewis's very best right hand is more devastating that Peter's best right IMO, and that's why I voted for him.
boom...good post i agree.
It's an irrelevant comparison. Peter has only had one shot at the elite, and the bottom line is he failed. Lewis has to be given the nod until Peter is able to prove otherwise.
is the poll about who he ko'd?
or the force of his blows?
Yeah people have this warped perception about opposition when it comes to punching.
I made the poll.....asking who punches harder.
Not who knocked out the better opposition.
the two are completely unrelated. They have absolutely nothing in common with eachother.

Lewis also pawed with his jab and threw subpar armpunches punches aganst Vitali as well as against Rahman (and on other occasions). Did you read where I say Lewis's best shot was harder than Peter's? Peter ALWAYS hits hard but Lewis would sometimes throw soft shitty pitty patter punches when he didn't want to commit. Thus Peter throws consistently harder punches.

Lennox Lewis. Who the fuck has Peter knocked out? Yanqui Diaz? How you guys can even rate Sam Peter at this point is beyond me. The dude has done nothing. He had one chance to be a big name and blew it by running out of gas. Whoop-dee-do
Read it again.I know.....why dont one of us volunteer to challenge Peter and Lewis to take a swing at them and report back to us? Do they have internet connections in hospitals? LOL.
:boxing:
Just go and throw some more darts at your Lennox Lewis poster.
Grr....you idiot.
Read the thread carefully before jumping to conclusions.

I am sure Peter would have agree that Lennox was a harder puncher.Again, Lennox was about boxing, much like Ali, when the KO came, he took it, he had a big right hand, when it landed it was special.Lennox would have taken Peter to school :D

LOL.
you tool...I'm one of the biggest Lewis fans on this board. You wouldn't know that because you are only reading this thread.

Funny how 9 posters who responded to this thread either have...or have had Lewis in their sig+Avatar.
Biased. Plain and Simple.
Not biased, it's the truth.

i was mostly replying to the firt sentence when you mention them being in diffrent catagorys. i t agree lenox had the stronger puncher, speed just made him get more of those punches in, im not to sure they made them stronger shots tho
First of all, the two of them shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence. second of all, who has Peter even beat, is their a Razor Ruddock on his record, or a Hasim Rahman? Peter certainly has power, but Lewis would have destroyed Wladimir Klitschko with one of his uppercuts, do you seriously think the knockout Lewis inflicted on Rahman could have been achieved by Peter? it's speed times the mass, a guy like Lewis who throws his punches as fast as that is going to be a harder hitter than a slower puncher.
the question was who has a stronger punch not who is the best boxer bro
