Did Gatti "whoop" Branco's ass?

LOL, BLOWOUT. Huh? There's no way that fight was a blowout. It was very close and could have gone either way until the knockdown. I just thought from the first post that the poll was asking who won the fight.

i also scored it for gatti by 1 point, obviously a draw without the KD. however regardless of how the score came out i thought branco got the better of the fight.

It was a good fight and it could've gone either way. Branco brought it to gatti that night but, after the KD it was over.

It was a very close fight, from what I remember, but the knockdown sealed the win in Gatti's favour. When a fight is that close, and you score a late knockdown, the guy that gets knocked down is most likely gonna lose. GOOD CALL, the KD did separate the 2 fighters, I thought Branco was much better technically than Gatti, he was landing counter shots at will, the only problem was that Branco had zero punching power, while Gatti started to land crushing hooks about 1/2 way thru the bout, which did some damage

Close fight that HBO had WAAAAY in Gatti's favor. I had it 114-113 to Gatti. I woulda had a draw if not for the knockdown. Gatti was made to look foolish most of that fight. No way he won by the margin Lederman had it. Most people don't realize how close this fight was. Gatti's toughest victory in YEARS. Remember, both of the Ward victories he won rather handily on points.

I actually agree with Bloodshed, I think Branco won that fight, the only reason why gatti got the nod was because the fight was happening in gatti's hometown and WBC belt was up for grabs so there was no way he was gonna lose that fight on judges scorecards. Simply Branco got robbed! regards

I personally felt Branco won the fight.....when they announced the judges scorecards....I was shocked. They should have been much closer IMO.
