Hatton is the stronger puncher. He knocked out Maussa with one punch, which Cotto failed to do. Saying hatton Ko'ed maussa with 1 punch is misleading to say the least.Especially since Hatton struggled with Maussa a lot more than Cotto did. I think cotto has the power advantage.Hatton breaks down opponenets after landing many many clean punches.Cotto throws less,but makes them count more.

I think Cotto is a bigger, stronger guy. He is also harder with placed punches. Hatton however uses his strength to the best of his advantages. Me saying that I think Cotto is stronger is definitely not a knock on Hatton, who is very physically strong himself. Hatton may actually be stronger with his shots more consistently, but Cottos placed power shots are harder and more accurate. Even money fight really.

Cottos left hook to the body is one of the nastiest punches. He also is the stronger puncher slighty IMO. But I think Hatton attacks to body more and he isnt a slouch himself at hitting the body

Cotto's left hook to the body, is harder & thrown with less effort than Hatton's. But, Hatton is the more committed & relentless body puncher.

Cotto is a great body puncher but Hatton is a body punching machine, he has stopped over half of his 30 ko's with body shots alone, I have watched both fighters on many occasions and for me there is no comparison, Hatton is the better body puncher! Is he more powerful than Cotto overall, thats a different question though, its hard to say!

Diego Corrales' left hook is better than both of their's. Castillo's left hook is better than all of them.

Cotto and Hatton are about equal in power in my opinion. They are both "wear you down" type fighters more than one-punch knockout artists.
