With boxingtalk.com reporting that Forrest-Quartey is on for April 15th, as the co-feature to Jermain Taylor's homecoming fight, will HBO actually televise this appealing bout?
The date indicates they will pair the Taylor fight with the Mayweather-Judah replay, but can they squeeze a second live fight in that night? Please tell me they will...has it been done before? If they truly are trying to make the boxing better, and are really spending more money, they NEED to do this.
Thoughts?
if they didn't show it, coming from HBO it wouldn't surprise me at all
ive not actually seen any of forrests fights other than
against mosley and mayorga, both fights
got a clip of this ? i gotta see forrest cheat lol
wasn't really cheating. the ref fucked up and Forrest took advantage like Mayweather did against Gatti
I would pick Quartey to win this fight. He's been fighting tougher comp as of lately & has looked alot better than Forrest. Forrest has been fighting sub par opponents & hasn't looked impressive at all; especially in the fight were he sprinted across the ring to hit the guy that wasn't defending himself at the time.

I think Sam Soliman sucks and doesn't deserve another HBO main event. I realize that he throws a lot which people like and that Taylor deserves an easier fight but Soliman won about 2 rounds against Winky and has no chance against Taylor. I think its a bad fight, but at least Sam Soliman won't be on my tv after April which is good I guess
ahhhh so taylor-soliman is on. lmfao
winky is gonna murder taylor all night long, so funny to
see the young upstart cashing in on his wins over an aged
hopkins. god i thought taylor wanted big fights, not slow
paced fights against old men, and wild swinging guys who
he should outbox with relative ease.

This is pretty interesting should this fight come off. Of course I like Quartey quite a bit and would root for him over Forrest, but I think Forrest could give him a lot of trouble with his length.
Not showing this fight would be a large mistake.
fighters on comebacks better be fighting every 2-3 months if they want people to take them seriously
yeah but 3rd of the 3rd & 15th of the 4th seems incredibly
short time to fight again, by the standard set by top fighters
Well as others have said on other sites, showing the Floyd replay on Friday night or in the week would solve the problem. I think Quartey-Forrest will undoubtedly be on tv as HBO probably paid a lot of money to get it. Will be a good fight that will blow away that sorry main event with Sam Soliman
????? whats the soliman comment about
man, forrest is gonna fight in 2 consecutive months.
when was the last time a top guy has done that ?
lets hope the upset doesnt strike, likely rulin the fight out
(forrest against reyes)

I would hope they dont televise Forrest/Quartey if in fact Hercules Kyvelos is on the Taylor undercard...that spot should be reserved for the all action Kyvelos!
Quartey vs. Forrest is pretty damn meaningful-it should tell us a hell of a lot!
If they don't show it, that would be...ridiculous.
Forrest-Quartey is a big and important fight and whoever wins will be a legit threat as the top dog in the 154 lbs division. Forrest will win in my opinion...Quartey will be stopped.
