This fight will be happening early this year for the WBO belt. This should be an action fight while it lasts because I don't see it going the distance. Who wins & why???
Harrison will be far too strong for Joan.
Guzman has went the full distance in his last three outings so when he steps up it looks like his power lacks, maybe he isn't as powerful as he would like to think.
Harrison will drag him into a war then put his lights out.
Guzman will own Harrison in style. Harrison's a big, tough featherweight. Guzman will step him up for power shot after power shot. There won't any way the judges can rob him. Harrison has a pretty good chin, but when Guzman attacks he attacks in combination. This should be an interesting fight. Finally, Guzman will get the much deserved exposure he needs.
I'd take Harrison in this fight, the guy is a rough bastard. he like to take the fight to his opponent, i don't think he gets the credit he deserves personally. he never stops throwing punches.
both fighters are good and really untested, although i think Harrison has fought better opposititon. this is a really good match up. i just think that Harrison is the tougher of the two, he's just fought guys with more experience.
I have to say that i'm impressed with both guys especially that Guzman was fighting 12rd fights only after 6 bouts. thats pushing a young fighter, usually they wait til they have like 20+ fights before getting a 12rd fight going, at least 15 fights before.....
i think this fight has Fight of the Year written all over it!!!!
Guzman has an extensive amateur experience that enabled him to jump to 12 rounds so early. He's more versatile & not just a puncher but a good boxer.

Really ? I'm glad to hear someone actually got to see some extended footage of him. I have seen some clips, & that was over a year ago, & haven't seen or heard anything about him since.
Thanks. He just may have the goods.
Back when Neils was running that lounge he uploaded a couple of Guzman fights if I remember right...the Morales fight for sure.
Also some fight where Joan knocked the guy out in 2 rounds.
I'd like to find out.
There was a good amount of noise being made about Guzman a while back, but it has quieted. He must not be as good as his KO-packed record indicates.
Guzman was starting to bother me. The guy has nice power in both hands and looks to be like a very dynamic puncher but he's been disappointing as of late. I thought he'd start seriously stepping up competition after he beat Augie Sanchez for his strap, but he regressed afterward and looked lacksidaisical against Morales and Beltran (one of which I think I have on my computer).
If he comes into the fight with HArrison ready to go he should have Scott out of there inside of 9 rounds. I haven't really seen Guzmans chin tested yet (although Sanchez landed a couple of good right hands on him). Harrison is tough and it could turn out to be a nice little slugfest.
I'm still skeptical however...
I've seen 2 of his fights. The 1st was against the late Agapito Sanchez when he destroyed him. I saw his last fight against Terdsak Jandaeng which I believe was his 1st at feather weight where he dominated. He has very good boxing skills & can crack. I think he's a legitimate threat from 130 down to beat any of the top guys.
