What could have been with Joe Mesi?

Mesi was a stiff. I can't imagine him ever being anything but "The white hope" Easy to hit and without whiskers. You can never say he couldn't win a title becuase of the politics and skin color..but he definitely wasn't very good. He should not fight anymore imo.

Mesi was not the best, but could easily have had an alphabet title by now. He has missed 2 years in court. His hearing is on DEC. 19th. It will be decided then if he will ever fight in the US again. And if he does not there is a lot of talk about him moving to ESPN for analysis.

I don;t understand the people who think Mesi should quit, but are fine with Barrara fighting. Barrara's injury was much worse.

How ranked Wlad in your top 15 ranking? he was a decent fighter who made for good fights, he is at least par with most of the top 15 guys right now. its always bad for the sport when something like this happens.

Jirov almost "happened" to him... Sure he could have. The divsion sucked (and still does), and Mesi definitely had the tools to take home a belt. It's a shame what happened to him. I was a fan.

If Ruiz boxed, Mesi could mess him up. If Ruiz boxed alot of people would mess him up........

He might of been able to pick up a belt on down the road, but he would've never been much of anything outside a little speed bump on the bigger picture.
