I was very stunned when he got knocked down by those shots. He was very old so I think that he just laid down because of all the punishment he took over the years. Just very stunning to me, because I have seen him take A LOT more punishment. But I see your point Bozo.

He wasn't 44 and coming off concussions from being embarassed in KO losses in MMA. The shots were to the side of the head, and it was Mercer's fault he was tangled up like he was. I don't have a problem with it, as sad a display as it was. :(

hmm Are yall kiddin me? Mercer's chin WAS great. Wlad KO'd him because Wlad is Wlad. Wlad was crushing him the whole fight until the ref saved the day. Mercer has sustained concussions in MMA fighting that have accelerated the decline of his chin.

I could never make myself download it much less buy the PPV..i will check it out now though

i seen the fight and briggs landed 3 quick hard punches on the side of mercer's head and he fell.. it was a late round.. mercer is old he was tired and briggs give him some hard ones.. is mercer that strong? and briggs that weak?

Just look at the tape, at the actual "Knockout" punches, is this a replay of Ali V Liston II? Something about the KO with the iron chinned Mercer, doesn't work look right to me. The punches that put Mercer down couldn't even shatter an egg AND they were a foul. Something just REEKS of a foul here... did you see wlad ko mercer?? his chin is far from granite

I'll need to watch that fight myself before I can comment on it, but Mercer even as an old man can usually take a pounding. Maybe he just laid down?
