lol, Mayweather would no way in hell fight Hatton, Zab, Cotto the way he did Sharmba. He said he was going for the KO and did exactly that. If he wanted to box Mitchell he would have won every round easy without being touched. Get real.. He would box circles around the spagetti legged Cotto, and WWE's own Ricky Hatton. Now Zab and Floyd would be interesting. I think Floyd gets the slim decision
WEAK argument.
Floyd finished him off after the headbutt what more are you asking for?
Of course he should be worried about the cut on his face.
After a fight if your head hurt, don't you think you would touch it?
I'm not saying he would definitely lose or something, but I think he loses some focus when he gets hurt. In the Castillo fights he was complaining to the ref when he was getting roughed up on the ropes. I mean, as fighting goes, it's a very minor weakness, but it's one of the only weaknesses I can see in him right now. He finished off Sharmba after the headbut, but Sharma is not Zab Judah. I'm not saying I have a really strong case as to how he's going to lose or anything.
I wouldn't really say that, exactly, but Floyd definitely didn't look invincible the way he did against Gatti. Floyd dominated the fight, but Sharmba does not have very good power. I think Zab would be a really interesting fight, because that boy can hit pretty hard, and if Sharmba could land punches, so could Zab. Margarito would also be interesting. I still think Floyd doesn't deal well with being hurt. There was a minor head collision between Floyd and Sharmba. Floyd kept touching his head to check if he was bleeding, and even after the fight was over, with the camera on him he just kept rubbing his head and checking to see if it was ok. I mean, I would want to know if I was cut too, but it seems like it distracts him a bit if he gets hurt. Against a guy like Zab or Margarito, that can really hurt you, that could be a bad thing.

From what I'm reading looks like Floyd could have been KO if he would have been fighting against a guy like Cotto or Hatton, taking some flush shots, lucky for him he was fighting Sharba who has no power and Floyd's speed is down which was his great advantage over both Cotto and Hatton.

To Floyd's credit, he only got caught with two really big shots. The first one came at the end of round 2 and it pissed him off. He came back strong in the next round and even managed to knock Mitchell down. I don't think he would take some of the same chances he took tonight against Hatton or Cotto. He's too smart.

so what's you guys' assessment of floyd at welter? did he look the part? was he big enuf to withstand a real 147lb'er like margarito? is he still quick? whats his grade? did sharmba punk out??
Floyd says 147 is his walking weight. He weighed in at exactly 147 yesterday and only gained 1 pound before the actual fight. Mitchell came in at 155. Mitchell was obviously wider, but Floyd had all the advantages because of the one inch height difference and HUGE arm length difference. He literally looked like he was stalking his prey while Mitchell couldn't even reach him from a distance.
I think this weight is great for Floyd. He still looked quick. They were both moving their legs pretty well, but Floyd's handspeed was still very impressive. He caught Mitchell against the ropes in (I think) the second round and punished him a bit. Landed almost everything and got caught with just about nothing.
I wanna see a fight with Margarito so badly! I say it's a close fight but Floyd still wins. He's too slick.
LoL, it wasn't really that competetive. Floyd broke him down the entire fight, just like he always does. I like Sharmba but he's not on the same level as Mayweather.
Floyd's handspeed is ridiculous by the way.
Did anyone feel that pbf wasn't as fast. HE still was reiculous but for some reason i didn't see him as quick as i thought. I do think this is his devision tho.

I wish I could say but Ive only seen him fight Brussells and Gatti...
But he did well against an awkward opponent.
Mitchell did better than I thought he would. Even Floyd just admitted that he caught him with some good shots, although he attributed it to the fact that he was trying to rush a KO win.

body shot KO for PBF.
Did anyone feel the commentators weren't giving mitchell enough credit. I felt he fought a very competitive fight against PBF, more than most ppl do against him. Pretty good fight, had it's moments.
He was really grimacing after that knockdown. He needed to get up faster if he really wanted to continue. The ref didn't really have a choice imo. Mitchell didn't really look like he wanted to continue and he only protested a little bit.
