Check it out. Toney has nearly HALF the votes. Just as it should be.

i agree with Toney being the best, but their polls i sont trust because during the mayweather Gatti fight, gatti had like 70% of the votes to be floyd
yeah, there are a lot of Toney fanboys here. Toney is a great fighter, but he's getting older and isn't a natural heavyweight. He definitely lost his fair share of the early rounds vs Ruiz. Toney fought well during rounds 7-12 though and won most if not all of them with Ruiz a sitting duck.
Funny, if Roy Jones had stayed at Heavyweight and won the same fights, I have a feeling you'd be singing a very different tune.
And you guys need to stop talking about that fight with Ruiz like it was competitive. The only time it was is when Toney was taking a round off. He was brutalized to the body, and counter punched apart.
This is a perfect example of the HBO hype to promote the Rahman Vs. "The Best HeavyWeight in the World" AKA Toney fight
HBO hype is none otha than Vitali.
I voted for Lamon Brewster - James Toney is a vastly superior boxer but he's too old and small to dominate the heavies.
If Wladimir had his brother's chin and heart, he'd easily dominate the heavyweight division. The way that that 6'7" guy moves is simply amazing. But you can't be the dominant heavyweight if you fall down every time someone hits you hard...
hmm
Bottom line, Klitschko should be in that poll. He has question marks but so do the others and many feel he would whip James Toney. Toney's resume at heavyweight is poor but he is obviously the most skilled one. Will that skill make up for lack of size and strength vs guys like Klitschko and Brewster? Who knows...
well wlads opposition is much better than toneys
he fought sanders, n brewster, n now peter
toneys biggest was against ruiz which he barely won, even though he used his steroids
Barely won according to who?
Ruiz was winning most of the early rounds, and I don't think it would be harsh if a judge gave him 5 rounds. Many of the rounds were very close.
Ruiz gave a good account of himself. He demonstrated that He actually has some boxing ability.

umm did you score more than 3 rounds for Ruiz? good thing you're not a judge!
Ruiz gave a much better account for himself then most would admit. I gave Ruiz 4 rounds, but Toney was coming on down the stretch, so he ended up winning fairly lopsided.

Neither is anyone else that's been knocked down 9 times in their last 8 fights.
