After watching Hatton/Zoo again, it's obvious that Hatton has a "Jake Lamotta like" chin....he was fearless against Zoo and got hit with many bombs, but he was never close to being seriously hurt.
Hatton's constant pressure was relentless. That 10th round was brutal for Zoo.
Remember what Zoo did to Mitchell ?..and now PBF is fighting Mitchell. hmmmmm
Margarito??? wtf ? who has he fought that made him so special? Hes slow as hell he would not hang with none of the big dogs of the division
most ppl consider margarito as a bigger version of JLC
Castillo and Chavez don't have the strength and quickness of Hatton. Castillo gave Mayweather a tough 1st fight, and your a fool if you don't think Hatton is better then Castillo.
I'm a fool.
wtf iron chin? Man castillo would bust that chin up. tsyzu never had room to punch. He hurts people by hitting them at the end of his punches
Thats how I saw it too. Hatton showed he had a good chin but more important he behaved like a skilled slugger instead of a hak.
He's definetly a boxer. He likes to stay on the outside and unleash one of his powerful left hands.
Point is, Hatton forced Tszyu to fight HIS fight and I think Hatton will do that to Floyd. Floyd won't be able to jab and move the whole fight. He's going to end up having to fight Hatton just like Tszyu did.
floyd is faster that zoo, and has better technique and defense. floyd can stay away from hatton, and stick and move for as long as he needs to
Everyone looks like they have a chance against PBF until they get in the ring with him. QUOTE]
There is alot of truth in this statement.
Honestly, the man barely even loses rounds.
Hatton would be a nice change from the opponents we've seen Floyd fight of late. And I'd also think that the Mayweather camp would make sure that Hatton isn't allowed to wrestle, much like the RJJR and Ruiz fight.
Castillo and Chavez don't have the strength and quickness of Hatton. Castillo gave Mayweather a tough 1st fight, and your a fool if you don't think Hatton is better then Castillo.
I see both sides of the Hatton/Mayweather arguments.
So one thing is for certain, it's an extremely interesting fight that needs to be made.
But one thing that I have to disagree with is your saying that if you don't think Hatton is better than Castillo than your a fool.
I also think that would be a great fight at 140, and a pretty close one. And I think that Hatton would not, in no way, blow Castillo out of the water. That's a very close fight.
I dunno. This is something like Wlad Vs. Peter.
Sure Hatton can go brutal on him, but PBF might control the beast just like Wlad controlled Peter.
Almost the same fight, just at a different weight.
I have to give it to PBF, but Hatton can also catch him...
Tis a toss.
Castillo and Chavez don't have the strength and quickness of Hatton. Castillo gave Mayweather a tough 1st fight, and your a fool if you don't think Hatton is better then Castillo.
1. Mayweather is bigger, stronger, and better than when he fought Castillo and Chavez.
2. Castillo has fought Mayweather, Chico, Cassamayor, Julio Diaz, Juan Lazcano, etc..
Saying anyone who thinks Castillo is better than Hatton is a fool, is a foolish statement.
That's a fairly subjective notion considering Castillo has beaten several world class fighters and Hatton has beaten one.
I saw the article with Warren. He said that Mayweather wanted 6 million pounds to fight Hatton in UK. He said PBF was asking for too much. This is 100% true. Unless Warren was lying. You should've seen this article, especially being a big Hatton fan.
According to Mayweather, he and Hatton didn't discuss money. Hatton flat out turned him down, saying he wouldn't be ready until sometime next year.
And just like in his fights with Castillo and Chavez, his blinding hand speed will be the difference.
If this fight comes off I hope you'll be willing to put some scrilla on it. You seem to be quite certian.
I think Floyd is overated at 140. He has brittle hands and I'm not sure if he will allow himself to get "dirty" so to say if he would fight Hatton. Tszyu likes to stay on the outside and box and look what Hatton did to him.
zoo has never been a boxer, hes a boxer/puncher/slugger
zoo didnt fight his fight against hatton and thats why he lost
Compairing what Tszyu did is a terrible example, Floyd and Kostya couldn't be more different.
Also, Floyd's hands haven't been troubling him in quite some time.
I couldn't disagree more about him being over rated at 140.
I think this is just a stop along the road.
It won't be long before he's fighting at 147 or 154.
He's a special talent, and one of the best fighters of this generation.
He's going to dominate at a few more weight classes for years to come.
Buckle up.
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Bozo_no_no again.

Mayweather has gone on record saying he wouldnt fight Hatton in the UK, so that statement cant be true... Mayweather said he'd never fight in the UK regardless of the money.
when did he say this???
also, i agree than pbf needs to ask for less $, his head is a little big right now, if he doesnt stop and realize hes not going to get 70/30, he will miss is chance for alot of big fights
Hatton's a swarmer and swarmer's usually give boxers tough fights and sometimes beat them. Not the other way around.
Hatton brings the fight to his opponent every game and so far he hasn't been matched even by the great Tszyu. This fight is very difficult to call but I think Hatton can punish him and win the fight.
Mayweather is a special talent, and the best fighter on the planet. He's fought his fair share of "swarmers" and he's beaten them all. Not the other way around.
Hatton could win, it's possible, but the opinion he would is a minority, and that's why Floyd would be a betting favorite.
I think it would look a lot like when Floyd fought Jesus Chavez (which by the was was a fantastic fight).
This fight will not happen anytime soon, right now Hatton don't want to fight PBF. Hatton turned down PBF 2 different times.
PBF wanted to fight Hatton in UK for 6 million pounds, but Warren turned PBF down.
I see PBF stopping Hatton by the 8th or 9th rounds.
Mayweather has gone on record saying he wouldnt fight Hatton in the UK, so that statement cant be true... Mayweather said he'd never fight in the UK regardless of the money.
You obviously haven't seen Mayweather.
Could Mayweather really stand the ripping body shots, the relentless tempo and aggressive nature of the Hitman? I don't think so.
I can't be bothered to wade through six pages, so can someone give me a tally of how many times the following phrases have been said, please?:
"WWF"
"fighting in the UK/Manchester"
"Dave Parris"
"low blows"
"pwned"
Cheers.
ey Anorak, I don't get yer avatar. Are you baggin on Pac or it's a compliment? But then again, YOU ONLY HATE ON FIGHTAS on yer avatar. That = NO GOOD!
