People, Castillo weighed in at 137 the day before.
C'mon. 2 lbs more than Corrales. Considering that at fight time both their weights were about equal, 2 lbs is not nearly enough to build a conspiracy theory that Castillo CHEATED.
Castillo won, becaus Corrales was overaggressive from the get-go. Castillo won because he broke Corrales' nose. Most important Castillo won because he hit Corrales with a massive left hook that Chico did not see coming.
Castillo would have came in near 147 anyway so it didnt effect him.
Corrales did the same just like in the last fight when he outweighed Castillo then as well.
It doesnt matter that Corrales wieghed more than Castillo the day of the fight. The day of the weigh in he was killing his body to make weight while Castillo wasnt. Castillo would have came in near 147 anyway so it didnt effect him.
He did kill his body, he just couldn't kill it enough. He lost over ten pounds to try and make weight. If he normally comes in at 151 or so, then getting down to 137 is a pretty big loss, thus he was killing his body. He just couldn't get down far enough.
You all act as if Castillo came in twenty pounds over the limit.
hmm
Fair enough, but taking these guys out of the picture, if one guy is dehydrated when making weight, his reactions will not be as sharp. Conversely, if one guy doesn't have to make weight, and comes in 2 & then 3.5 lbs over, he will be sharper than he would have been had he been forced to make the weight.
Very intangible argument though.
The only way we can truly know is to have a third match, which I think would probably go the same way. Tell me what you think.
Konstantin...assuming Castillo didn't kill himself as much as Corrales is just that: an assumption. For all you know, Castillo tried as hard as he could to make weight and just couldn't do it.
Also, you are ignoring the fact that Castillo had to make 147 the next instead of being able to fully hydrate to 154 (his normal in-ring weight).
He hasn't had trouble making weight before, doesn't he deserve the benefit of the doubt here?
Also, Corrales weighed MORE in the ring than Castillo did.

This is the biggest fight of his career. And hes a professional boxer.

He ended up weighing 3 1/2lbs more (2nd weigh in).
Shouldn't mean much, but he had the choice to do the right thing & bust his ass to make 135, or go & have a drink, not worry & come in 1.5lbs heavier for the 2nd go at the scales.
Small %'s at world level can mean a lot. Would Corrales have been much stronger & sharper if he only had to come in at 138? Probably. I don't think Castillo would have been as sharp if he was forced to make 135.

Castillo won and there's nothing we can do about it....
But I totally agree with u, castillo was not forced to make weight, he didn't have to struggle to lose the weight like Chico did...
And to show Castillo didn't give a fuck , he came in heavier 4 the 2nd weigh in
A lot of people don't seem to realize that making weight strains the body physically.
But anywayz Fuck castillo fans, most of yall don't know shit about boxing, sure u fags know history and facts, but u don't know shit about actually stepping into the ring.
Additionally, and to close this "cheating" argument...Corrales was KO'd with one punch. Stamina and weight and so forth were not a factor as Corrales was laid out with one punch...period.

Point is that this was a meaningless fight. I don't see how people don't understand that. It the day before the SuperBowl they decide to make it an exhibition game instead, does the result really matter?
Well, if weight doesn't matter they should have never made a contract with weight stipulations.
Also, Castillo nuthuggers need to stop saying BS excuses like that as well as the belts not meaning anything.
hmm
You assume he had the choice and by assuming you make an ass out of you and me. You know the saying. Castillo has had trouble making weight for a while, and had a rib injury in camp which made it hard for him to make weight. Maybe you should assume, if anything, that Castillo just couldn't make the damned weight.
But anyway...let's get to the crux of the issue. The weight was NOT an issue, nor can you call Castillo a cheater. They agreed to let the fight go on pending Castillo weighing in again at 147 at 3p.m. He did so, and the fight is legal. In the ring, my guess is they weighed about the same. I didn't see any in the ring weights like HBO does, but it makes sense.

if anything, i was expecting the weight problem to effect castillo....all the problems, the penalty, no belts, etc...
but all of a sudden he KFTO coralles, and now it's a weight problem..
no point man they're all kids they dont understand they're just going to be like "OMFG NOOB FAT CHE4TE|2 D00d WoT Teh FACK?.." so dont even waste your time man, but you have to admit corrales was asking to get hit like that coming in all stupid did you see how he walked into the ring like he was a fucking gangster all arrogant lol.
