How do you miss the weight on the biggest fight of your life??? Imagine how pissed off Showtime is lmfao...Im not watching it now..
You know I like both fighters for their guts and fighting heart but I cannot agree on you more on Castillo being dumb failing to make the weight, to think that it was he and his team who pushed for this fight to happen.
More about pride? They forced Corrales into this fight, now they forced Corrales to fight Castillo at 147, can a fight get more shady?
MONEY forced him into it...they are both being paid well above a million bucks....about 5 times more than their first bout...
this fight has nothing to do with belts..just two warriors...the belts mean jack shit in this fight....
I don't think it is him being lazy but him not being able to make the weight anymore. Everyone who knows about Castillo's weight issues knew that one day he wouldn't be able to make the weight. He just stay around 135 a little too long.
could it be possible that Castillo over trained and the extra weight is due to muscle gain? that is why he couldnt get that weight off when he was given extra time.

lol, youre not gonna watch to what, spite him not making weight?? Your loss, for sure. I've never questioned someone for being a true fan before, but I've gotta say, if that is going to keep you from watching the rematch of the best fight in the last 10 yr's, youre either crazy, or have limited love for the sport.
I call folks like you 'conditional fans'.
its a sign of laziness, before this i thought castillo was a lock for this fight but now iam kind of hesitant. with that said castillo TKO 8

Of course Castillo forced a rematch because everyone including Corrales weren't too interested in giving a rematch. Castillo certainly deserved one. People need to just quit complaining about the weight issue because both fighters would of came in at around 147 anyway. Castillo is the only one who has to weigh in today. Corrales isn't complaining so you shouldn't either. Just enjoy the fight.
Exactly, the weight is not going effect the fight.
Isnt it not the trainers fault?
PS: Fire that doc. Real shady.
This I agree with. There is something sinister going on.

Did I say there was after every fight? Only fights I mentioned were Hopkins-Taylor and Corrales-Castillo. After both fights, the losers (i.e. Hopkins, Castillo), enacted the rematch clause to gurantee a rematch for the title they lost.
No, I am not new to boxing. Maybe you just aren't as informed as you think you are.
That isn't what happened.
After the fight was over, Castillo's people lobbied the WBC to declare the fight a No Contest, hold the belt vacant and order an IMMEDIATE rematch.
Bro, after every title fight there isnt a rematch...are you knew to boxing? Did you not know Corrales didnt want to fight Castillo again, in the same year after that brutal fight "he" gave us, because he could and should outbox the shit out of Castillo like Casamayor did this time...

Forced just like Hopkins forced Taylor into one, Corrales didnt want the rematch, and espacly so soon after..but the Castillo's "peoples" werent listening...
Thus the advent of the rematch clause. Almost every title holder is given a rematch clause should he lose. Otherwise, the new titleholder, like Taylor, could just duck the guy he barely beat, if at all, until he retires. Not fair. If the clause is in the contract, honor it.
It's stilla fight between Corrales and Castillo, the only thing changed is that a belt is not on the line. So what....it's more about pride for these two IMO....especially with the outcome of the first fight. I expect a great fight. :boxing:
