Foreman working HBO telecast!
Former two-time heavyweight champion George Foreman will rejoin Jim Lampley and Larry Merchant on tommorow night's HBO telecast of Samuel Peter vs Wladimir Klitschko and Miguel Cotto vs Ricardo Torres. Foreman abruptly left the HBO broadcast team in February 2004, saying he wanted to spend more time with his family. After 18 months away from the mic, "Big George" returned on August 13 of this year to provide ringside commentary on Don King's pay-per-view telecast of Rahman-Barrett at the United Center in Chicago. With Emanuel Steward working Klitschko's corner Saturday night and Roy Jones in training camp for his showdown with Antonio Tarver next week, HBO asked Foreman to help out this weekend and he accepted.
cool. I bet he'll favor Pete cuz he is a bit similar to him! nyahahahaha!
you always make me chuckle..but that is true..
it will indeed be good to see foreman back at what he loves doing- pissing off merchant :-)
That's great news
I'm looking forward to enjoying another appearance by Forman. He's great. I also hope he and Larry get into it a little bit. It should become very amusing, depending upon how many drinks Larry enjoys tonight.
Awesome. I liked when George called fights before, and merchant still mentions about how he and George never got along. I like RJJ and Manny too, though the only thing I don't like about any of them (and I don't think this is their fault, but rather the higher ups at HBO), is that they will almost never count a fighter out who is clearly getting beat. Lampley will say something like "and he clearly has no gas left in his tank," and then it will get countered with, "Yea but you never know with this guy."
But like I said, all of them do a great job.
I like big george as well. he's not afraid to speak his mind whether it gets him in trouble or not

LOL- it'll be cool as hell to see george back..
i hope he gets into it with larry for old times sake :D
damn
idk if its kooler that george is back
or that yoko has made an appearence
havent seen u in a while
hmm
George is definitely the marketing man, but that actually makes him more fake and less real than RJJ and Manny. To me it don't matter though. I like all3 just fine and it will be good to hear George's voice again.
awsome
guess his comebacks on a pause
Yeah, I was just about to ask, is he still coming back?
Ya know what, it doesn't matter, he's kinda crazy sometimes,
but I like his old ass anyway lol
I am happy about this he is very funny even though he usually does not mean to be but he is accurate and real...he will blatantly disagree with anyone of his side kicks...Lampley,Merchant and even Lederman if George don't agree with his scoring.Wrong he is sometimes but who is'nt and he has been in the ring in those situations so he knows best even more than Roy because he has far less ring experience then George and he does tend to lean toward certain guys more than George does he could care less about who wins as long as it is fairly judged and reffed. :D
