how dumb is boxrec

Boxrec is only good for looking up stuff, nothing more. Their forums are shit and their ranking's are meaningless. They are only good for one thing, and that's research. beg to differ mate the curent scene scusk but the brits scen is full of fans that acutally go to fights, journos, promoters and boxers themselves. ive met many of the lads fromr there and some of them are top class. sure you always get your pricks but you get that everywhere.

ignore boxrec's ratings. in the best HWs of all time list, they have jimmy bivins at 3, ezzard charles at 2, floyd patterson at 5, lennox lewis at 10, jack sharkey at 11, johnny risko at 14, primo carnera at 16, and the list goes on in the other divisions. pay boxrec's ratings no mind.

What's with all the hating on Boxrec? Yea, their rankings aren't credible, but they don't claim to be. They're working on an ongoing basis to develope a points and ratings system. It's an incredible data base, and a very valuable tool. It's a credit to boxing fans everywhere.

boxrec is bad, but so is the wbc, ibf, and wba rankings All rankings are biased, i hear some people say the ring magazine isnt bias but it is if your not from the US. One organisation had a decent ranking system, it was the IBO, shame its not considered a decent belt because from what i remember they were fair.

Boxrec is there for the data base, not for the rankings. Thier rankings are admittedly there under an ever evolving formula, and aren't claimed to hold any sort of credibility.

Riz man comn your a veteran here and this topic has been discussed allot. Boxrec uses their own point system which is lots of times irrelevant and no one really refers to it. They are only a good site for statistics and boxers records. yeye i know that but i looked at this specific weight class. n putting a WBO champ at 12th is kinda stupid dont u think espeicaill ytaht diaz's last major fight was in 135. same with freiatas
