one current fighter i feel sorry for is golata man.
i mean this guy is so dam old but coming back at that age, and also i thought he won both the byrd and ruiz fights
brewster... well ok he lost, but he got no D and sux under pressure
It would have to be Norton and Frazier.2 all time greats who get over shadowed by Ali.People Forget Norton beat Ali in all 3 of their fights and got robbed in 2 of them. They will just remember him for the fights he lost against either Foreman Shavers or Cooney.People will Forget Frazier easily beat Ali in their first fight i think the scores were 11 to 4 for Frazier.9 to 5 with one even for Frazier and 10 to 5 for Frazier..it was something like that. But anyway nobody will remember that.Nobody will remember that is Foreman didnt destroy Fraziers career that he would of probably beat Ali again.Frazier will always be remembered because Foreman beat him.
sorry man gotta disagreee with u here.
coming from a ali fanatic, ali did pull of 2 wins against norton.... and ye frazier did beat ali. but ali won the next 2, also KO'd foreman, sumthing frazier couldn't do in either fight.
and frazier is going to be remembered for the first guy to beat ali EVER.
foreman didn't destroy fraziers career, ali jus beat him
MAN, are you guys forgetting someone???? I feel sorry for.....
WAYNE " POCKET ROCKET" McCULLOUGH!!!!!!
MAN DO I FEEL SORRY FOR HIM. He seems like such a brave and humble guy, yet nothing seems to work out for him. I felt so bad when the doctor said he had to stop and he was crying or about to cry.
Personally, I'm not one of those guys who says "so and so is the greatest and can never be surpassed". I think Mayweather can be the greatest fighter ever, and I'd love for him to do it. If he stays undefeated until he retires, I say he's a logical shoe-in for greatest fighter of all time from the bottom of my heart. Long as he keeps doing his thing, dude's untouchable.
Floyd trains too hard to ever get truly distracted. His life is a joke, he's not a real man in any sense of the word, but in that ring, he is something special. Floyd takes boxing more serious than any fighter in the world today, and he will not lose.
saying he will not lose is like saying that the sun will not set. losing happens. everybody loses: ali, louis, robinson, hagler, leonard (both), johnson, dempsey, duran, chavez, tyson, lewis, marciano (the plane beat him... i know its just wrong). everybody loses, floyd is no exception.

I always thought that was the big rumor why Roy stayed down so long, because apparently after Johnson knocked him silly he was so done he uncoiled a brown snake in his boxing trunks.
hahahahahaha damn!! are u serious??? LOL that some funny shit
fighters i feel sorry for:
Arturo Gatti - i almost cried when mayweather destroyed him.
Andrew Golota - he could have been one of the best HW of this era.
Gerald McClellan - permanent brain damage, blind, deaf... nuf said.
Meldrick Taylor - if only he could've lasted 2 seconds longer...
Mike Tyson - its sad to see him reduced to a pathetic shell since 2002.
Riddick Bowe - two things were his downfall: Rock Newman and his weight problem.
Evander Holyfield - please retire already.
i will eventually feel sorry for mayweather. just watch, all this carrying of the sport will put him under scrutinizing pressure and he'll choke, lose, and have to deal with the fallout. im not hoping this will happen, but it has happend to every great champion (all save rocky marciano), and it will happen to PBF too.
I feel sorry for Roy Jones Jr. when Glen Johnson knocked him out. He looked like he shit his pants when he was on the canvass.

Meldrick Taylor- Any other ref would have let that fight continue.
Kermit Cintron- Anyone with a pink squiggly thing in their head could tell he was not ready for Margarito.
I definitely do NOT feel sorry for Mike. When he lost to Williams, I felt horrible for him. Seriously, being from Louisville, the ONLY edge Tyson had in our arena was being an American, so everybody in there wanted to see him blow Williams out. But when he lost, I'll never forget the feeling. I felt like the Louisville Cardinals had just lost a home game. That's seriously what it felt like. Weird, huh?
But after seeing Tyson do everything in his power to win against McBride, and I mean EVERYTHING (he cheated like a mother in that fight), I lost whatever little respect I had left for him. I thought Larry Merchant was spot on in what he said about Tyson after the Cotto-Abdullaev fight, was it?
I agree with Meldrick Taylor.. Fought his heart out, traded with big punches to put on a show for the crowd.. he could've just jabbed and ran and won fights that way, but that wasn't Meldrick..
Must've broken his heart when he lost that Chavez fight... that was his moment of greatness, only to be stolen with 2 seconds left...
i feel bad 4 tito.......he seems like a good person and shit and he got humiliated vs winky
also i felt bad 4 pacman after morales fuked him up, he looked all sad n shit he let down his country.
