Who do you think was the best inside fighter? The guy that could get on the inside and destroy you with punishing uppercuts and short hooks. Tyson was real good on the inside.
Roberto Duran was one of the nastiest inside fighters I've ever seen. He'd bang away with sickening consistency and would fire punches upstairs and down. He also was able to stretch the rules in his favor and made great use of his head and semi low blows to sap his opponents energy. He did all of this while maintaining an excellent defense, blocking and parrying many punches with his gloves.
Chavez was the same kind of guy. Fearless and brutal on the inside. I've never seen someone so composed in there...dude kept his eyes open at all times.
dammit you are so right, totally forgot about duran he is definitely there,
but lets be honest: SEMI low blows???? where did you find that semi???
ask ken buchanan about semi :D

Tyson got inside cause he has to, he is so much shorter than everyone else.none the less he fucked everyone up.(In his prime)
Hagler was beautifull on the inside and Frasier was a fucking machine.
Cant go out without mentioning Chavez, in his prime he was a fucking killer on the inside. Watch the Mario Martinez and Chapo Rosario fights.
Tyson would uppercut and hook with the best of them...but Frazier was probably even more superb inside. Jeff Lacy is learning, and should get better with time, training and rounds.
Toney is great at inside fighting doesn't even have to move his feet and his defence i haven't seen it picked apart yet and doubt i ever will......The roll away from the straight right he has been doing this all his life and people finally picked up on it in the Ruiz fight cause Roy had to say it like 20 times for people to start noticeing it.......check the Iran Barkley tape check the Price Charles Williams tape McCallum 1 he has been doing this from the start........
oh yeah and floyd's inside game is not that bad but he won't stand and trade he will just stand there and make you miss shots but if he would stand there and trade then he would have a perfect inside game
I think it was Jose Ribalta...
it is. tyson loaded with all he had in that uppercut.
toney and tyson is very good inside fighters. i like the way toney defend and fight inside
toney wanted steroiids more tho lol
umm fraizer was great at that...
so was mickey ward, body punchers r good on the outside, so cotto as well..
but ye its a tactical n fun way to watch the sprot
Toney is an old school fighter, judging by your avatar and sig you know old school boxing. JT didn't take steroids to beat Ruiz, it was in his system because of his injuries.
I don't know his name, but it's on 33:05 in Beyond the Glory (if you have commercial free) the guy had white trunks with light red/orange trim on top. He was on the ropes on the north side of the ring and Tyson completely twisted his body and came in at an angled uppercut and took the guy's head off
I think it was Jose Ribalta...
I'd say Frazier almost completely based on his ability to get inside. His body punching and work up close is close to the best, but his ability to cut the ring off and dodge and weave to the inside hasn't been matched by anybody else to this date.

I love watching guys who can fighton the inside.
My favorites are James Toney and JC Chavez two guys who wanted nothing more than for you to come right at them.
