Who is the best from this 3 legends? (Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield)

Holmes would have done that if that fight were 10 yrs earlier. just honorable mention: I would say that Holmes is the most under-rated heavyweight champ of all time. Holmes would have beaten Marciano, Louis, Johnson in 1 day like Dempsey's fair shit. Dude, Holmes lasted only 4 rds with Tyson. He had been retired and hastily prepared for the fight and got his bells rung. Prime Holmes wins that fight or at least acquits himself respectably.

Tysons the best, followed by Holyfield, followed by Lewis. Lewis didnt have the chin needed to beat a prime Tyson and i see him falling like the great Larry Holmes did to Tyson. I've gotta go with Holyfield, but I'm a sucker for hard work vs natural talent and a shitty attitude. Holyfield was at the top of 2 weightclasses not just one. As a former light heavyweight and a very small heavyweight no one expected holyfield to just get into Tyson's chest and kick his ass. Everyone thought that he would have to box like Buster. Holyfield didn't outbox Mike, he beat him up. He lost badly to Lennox, but he was way beyond his prime and Lennox was a new era of superheavyweights; Hoyfield got lucky with Bowe.

How is that similar, Ali lost to Berbick on a split? Also there was a huge age difference and Ali had far too many fights and was shot as well as the beginning of Parkinsons??? I'll say it again, Tyson and Lewis were of similar age and number of fights AND Lewis easily knocked him out, in fact he bullied and battered Tyson. Tyson himself said that he could have have fought Lewis a hundred times and never won. Why is there this Tyson was the best regardless of his record attitude from many, if the prison spell ruined his career then that his problem, Ali's best years were also taken away yet we call him the greatest!!! Lewis beat Tyson and Holyfield on a relatively level playing field therefore its simple!

Based on accomplishment and head up match ups which is probably the most accurate indicators; Lennox. It is difficult to hate on Evander cause he just showed so much grit, heart and determination in there along with more than his share of accolades n the division. Of course, Tyson will always have his supporters based on the hype(there was a little excess, you must admit), his exciting knockout style, his early reign of terror over anyone who dared face him and the possibility that he would have fulfilled the destiny most saw back in the 80's and early 90's if he didn't so obviously piss away/squander his prime in jail, being trained by his homies or just drinking, smoking and taking his career for granted. In short ... Tyson was the best!(jk) Lennox, who retired as Champ and avenged both his losses by devestating knockout as well as winning against Holy(twice; that draw stunk up the place), and KO'ing Tyson in a bout we and Iron Mike could have done without.

u must be crazy tyson could easily beat lewis to fast to much power and he would beat holyfield easily 2. I don't understand where your coming from. Tyson fought lewis and Holyfield twice and never looked like winning any of those fights. Further more, if you combine the amount of rounds Tyson won in those three fights how many did he win? 3 or 4 total. Tyson is hard pressed to win rounds against these two guys let alone the fight. I'd like to say Tyson was shot before these fights but all his fans were saying how Tyson was gonna win so he MUST have been in top condition!

But he didn't did he!!! Lewis and Tyson and Holyfield were all the approx same age and Lewis destroyed Tyson and beat Holyfield (Twice really) What he may have done is irrelavant, the record books will show the facts, Lewis beat both therefore he was better than both! Lewis had a longer amateur career and wanted an Olympic gold which he got, Tyson was not selected for the same Olympics so Lewis beat Riddick Bowe. There was no advantage in age, the only differnce was that Tyson served time but he still came out and won titles, I cant see a good argument here. If a fighter of similar age beats another fighter EASILY' then it a simple decision. Tyson was still a great fighter as was Holyfield but for me Lewis was better!

FOR ME, Tyson was slighty overated, yes he was brutal and dominant but which of the greats of his era did he really beat well? Holmes way too old, Spinks too small and no heart, Berbick was never a great fighter, Bruno no defense, Tucker no condition and Thomas no real ability. Tall strong fighters gave him real trouble i.e. Bone Crusher Smith, Tony Tucker, therefore he would FOR ME he would have always have found it too much against Lewis! Lewis was far from flawless, his problem was not a weak chin it was a weak work ethic he took certain fighters for granted and paid for it badly, he beat Holyfield and Tyson becuase he respected them and took them seriously. Lewis though had the far better skills and he could punch, he got too heavy towards the end of his career but was still the best around. Holyfield was robotic and a little thoughtless but he had the heart of a lion! FOR ME in their hey day! Lewis could have beaten both. Tyson would have had too much for Holyfield and he would have needed medical attention due to his bravery.

That makes sense considering both guys owned his ass. Its not all about stats, its about alot of factors. One big factor is entertainment. And no one entertained like Mike Tyson. Not to make you angry Diego.

I can solve this quite easily. Any meaningful list of the top 10 heavyweights of all time (lists made by the experts and sportswriters) ALWAYS has Lewis above Holyfield and Holyfield above Tyson. I can't believe people think Tyson was some kind of God. Are you all just New Yorkers or what?
