I think the upper cut that put Reid down at the end of the last round was strong enough to make Reid drop his hands. I don't think it's what made him hit the canvas though. I think he had enough wits about him to realize that the punch left him unprotected, and he took a knee so he didn't get his head taken off. On one hand you can say that he's got a great chin for having that kind of awareness. On the other hand, he dropped to a knee because he was about to have his head taken off.
