I've noticed alot of you don't give him much credit because of what happened in the Hatton fight.
Now one thing that we all forget is that for a long time, KT was recognized as a machine. Funny how he fights an English fighter in Manchester, gets beat, then everyone jumps on the Hatton bandwagon.
As far as Hatton goes, I think he's being given a bit too much credit for his win a couple months ago. Sure he beat Kosta, however his activity and Kosta's inactivity aren't comparable, nor are the dirty tactics that Hatton employed during that fight.
I'm not discrediting Hatton pulling off a HUGE upset, however I don't think he quite deserves the credit he's being given. If the two of them were to fight again, I doubt the outcome would be the same. I honestly think Kosta wasn't in that fight and wasn't in his usual shape.
What do you guys think? I'm sure the Brits are going to flame the hell out of me, but I'm just giving a different viewpoint.
I honestly believe Kostya would beat Mayweather,Hatton,Cotto,Gatti,Harris,Maussa or anybody else at 140 if he fought them this year ... Hatton wouldnt be as hungry and determined in a rematch whereas Kostya would be .. and as for Mayweather well if Corrales owned his ass the Kostya beats his ass to pieces, seriously Mayweather would stand slim chance against Kostya who would hand him his ass .. and Cotto is prone to right hands when he goes to the body and to be prone to right hands against Kostya Tszyu is suicidal stuff
I dont think he has the style to beat Hatton, Hatton nerves got the better of him on fight night the first time, if anything Hatton will be better in a rematch.
I think he could beat Mayweather, although thats a hard fight to pick. The other fights i'd pick Tszyu without any doubt, i think he'd murder them all.

Hatton wins again no matter where the re-match is but i doubt there would be one cos Zoo was well beaten fair and square both were dirty, people need to accept the fact Hatton is a top level fighter
The was a lot of doubt, people give Hatton zero chance against Tszyu so were obviously going to see anti Hatton views. The sooner people admit Hatton's a good fighter the sooner they can quit embarrassing themsleves.
I'm not an anti Witter boxing fan, but i have my doubts about him, probably the same way people had doubts about Hatton, but if he proves me wrong i'll be the first to admit it.

Freitas is a punk, but I wasnt talking about him.
Well, Freitas is the only fighter I know that spit his mouthpiece out three times and still ended up quitting, so who are you talking about?
Hey, Freitas still quit man. The mouthpiece thing only saved him from being counted out, but it was still a TKO. Corrales beats em all in the end.

Bottom line is Tszyu is a quitter. He had a killer right hand and he fought a lot of good fighters, but he is a quitter. He headed the pound for pound charts from 2001 to 2005, but he is a quitter. He took on a tough young prospect in a foreign land, but he quit against him.
He quit, there's no denying that. There is no excuse to be made, anyone that makes excuses for him quitting are crazy. However, I'd rather see him quit, than to keep spitting out his mouthpiece to keep from being counted out, over and over again.

sorry mate, but i disagree...........the reason why he got his so much was because of the style........whereas in the later rounds he fought differently and was a lot more successful.........either way tszyu is an all time legend.
you can't say that about oliveira, because he pinched his nerve, and that has more to do with oliveira and his physionomy than hatton.
we can talk all night long about how hatton won, legitimacy or illegitimacy, bias, fight time, etc............
it's all history now, and let's all talk about putting a rematch together......i'm sure a rematch put together by the people of boxing will make sure there are no complaints after the fight.
A rematch would be good to watch but as a Tszyu fan i dont wanna see it, Hatton's really heavy handed and the amount of times Tszyu was hit was kinda worrying, a second fight could effect his health, make him punch drunk. You only need to look at Olivera before and after he fought Hatton, he's fucked now.
I'd rather see Tszyu vs Cotto, Cotto's not as frantic as Hatton so its a good comeback fight. Hopefuly Mayweather and Hatton will fight too.

When did I say it was ok what Barrera did to Hamed. I believe the only thing I ever said was that I didnt understand why Barrera was rough housing, due to the fact he was owning Hamed easily. Of course it's not ok to fight like that.
I wasnt talking about you, i was just making a general comment.
Kostya is a class act ... this one performance is one hell of a way to determine he's a dog. I don't think many, if any of us could have stood up to that rough ass beating from a much younger guy on the rise.
Thats something i dont understand, when Barrera slammed Hameds head in to the corner it was OK, when he stuck he the knee when Hamed was down it was OK. I guess the same rules dont apply.

Your man Barrera's not bad at it either ;)

The only way Hatton was going to beat KT was to fight that exact fight that everyone saw. His gameplan was the only gameplan i could see Tszu have a prob with, im sure fighting in manchester helped with the dirty tactics but he did what he had to do to beat him. I love KT and was rooting for him during that fight but Hatton 110% deserves the credit for beating KT, he did what he had to do and was the better man, dirty tactics an all. I am confident as well that KT would win if a rematch would happen.
i agree
hatton's tactics wont succeed the second time around, granted if they face each other again
