To gringo and tracylee, I watched it again this morning just Pernell talkin and he didnt mention anything of a comeback, he said hes a man now and knows when enough is enough. He has some job at Main Events I think with Lou Duva kinda like Darryl Strawberry did for the Yankees, like talent development. I just think they are helping him get back on track. Also he expressed how much he liked Floyd Mayweather Jr as a person and a fighter. thanks sisforshaq...my kid was rambling and we were actually playing a board game too while all that was going on..so the part I did hear clearly was him mentioning mayweather. There are so many of them coming out of retirement, etc. I just assumed that was what he was talking about (I thought he was saying something about DLH too?) I'm glad he knows when to call it quits.

If I remember correctly, Whittaker once showed up high on coke for a court appearance, the charge was for possession of cocaine. The authorites searched him at the courthouse after seeing how fucked up he was and found the stuff on him. The idiot showed up for court on a drug charge high and with the coke in his pocket. He's either a total moron, or someone so severely addicted that they feel the need to have it on them at all times no matter where they go, even if it's court. I remember that shit. THAT was funny. I never did like Pee Wee. What a dumb ass. I've done coke but i've never taken it to court with me to pay off a traffic ticket!!!

No I'm happy she never took me back, because I was bad. I never hit her or any other girl in my life, I have beaten some guys on the street for hitting a girl. Any man hits a girl, is not man. I cheated on her like 10 different times when I was high on coke. So I don't blame her not taking me back. A part of me will always love her, because she saved my life. I guess love was more stronger then coke. I became clean because of it. Cocaine doesn't make you a better boxer, it's scary to see some young idiot trying coke thinking it will make him or her a better boxer. damn, 10 times?!? :eek: Now I undestand. I'm happy to hear that you never touched that crap again. My problem went for 2 years, until my girlfriend left me for good. She never took me back, but if she didn't leave, I might of never been cleaned. I lost the love of my life, thanks to coke. sorry you lost the love of your life, but try and love the life you didnt lose. But, I dont know you so I wont presume to know her either, or the situation/relationship. I couldnt help but notice the sniffles he had going on myself, but maybe its because he was talking about it. When you've been addicted to something like that for a while, even when youre clean, just talking about the shit can get the juices flowing and signs of withdrawal can show. In a booklet from NA it tells you that regardless of how long you've been clean, you can still suffer the symptoms if and when you get it on your mind..something about a psychological reaction. Matter of fact, it said you can go into complete withdrawal just by driving by your ex-dealers house. Who knows if thats true or just bullshit to keep you away from the dealers house to begin with. The one thing that did make me really suspect him was when he said he never "hunted it down" (bullshit) but just did it when he was around it. Sorry, once youre hooked on that shit you'll go out of your way to find a fix....thats just the way it is. I hope he's really clean and will stop fooling himself and stop tellign himself that he was never actually ADDICTED to the crap, cause he definately was. Anyway, if he is serious about making a comeback, coke is out regardless cause of the required tests. Did you also had this problem, like me??? Because your sure know your stuff. That was the worst 2 years of my life. I remember not sleeping for 7 to 10 days. oh yes, you could say that....back when I was 17. I did the crap for 5 days straight, eating (actually, forcing food down really) a bite of food, literally a bite, once a day. I woke up one day right before Christmas when I blacked out (passed out or fainted, the only time I've ever done that in my life) in the middle of WalMart. I remember that clearly even though it was yr's ago. First, I started feeling a little dizzy and all the heat in my body felt like it rushed straight to my head! That alone was freaky, but then I was literally blind and all I could see was black dots in front of my eyes. Next thing I know, people are bent down around me, asking me if I was alright. I told my friend I needed to sit down and she kept saying "youre alright, just hang on a min"...oh well. She later told me next time she'd find me a chair IMMEDIATELY. That was when I knew I had to do something..so I went thru about 3-4 days of utter hell, but never touched it since.

Sugar Ray leonard never did cocaine in his prime, he turn to coke after he retired, guess what happen to Ray after he came back from his retirement as a super middleweight. He stopped drinking & stopped taking coke. You can not be a good boxer if you are on coke. I personally had this problem for 2 years of my life & I know what I'm talking about. I've been clean for 6 years now, I'm older, I'm stronger & I'm faster without coke. Maybe I'm right, we do have many crackheads on this board. I agree...theres NO way a man can fight 12 rds on the shit, period. Coke drains a person..it makes you thirsty as hell, so youre gonna drink, and then it makes you piss all that out, therefore losing alot of vital nutrients, etc. Besides, when youre that strung out, you'd HAVE TO HAVE a line, bump, whatever inbetween rds, just to keep going. I dont think thats a possibility, so by rd. 5 AT BEST you'd be out on your ass. And, that not taking into consideration that if he did enough (I mean a shitload) to get thru an entire fight, he'd get dizzy headed from the heat (crap makes you sweat liters too in the heat) and one good punch and he'd be down. Coke give you alot of 'zazz' and energy, FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME...after that, you have to keep feeding on it just to try and keep that buzz. After that, peeps use the shit just to feel human again, cause getting that buzz gets harder and harder, the more you do.
